Une jolie armoire de toilette miroitée deux-en-un vient parfaire l'ensemble tout carrelé de micro-mosaïques blanches, avec des touches de décoration turquoises. This home in Napa off Silverado was rebuilt after burning down in the 2017 fires. Architect David Rulon, a former associate of Howard Backen, known for this Napa Valley industrial modern farmhouse style. Composed in mostly a neutral palette, the bones of this house are bathed in diffused natural light pouring in through the clerestory windows. Beautiful textures and the layering of pattern with a mix of materials add drama to a neutral backdrop. The homeowners are pleased with their open floor plan and fluid seating areas, which allow them to entertain large gatherings. The result is an engaging space, a personal sanctuary and a true reflection of it's owners' unique aesthetic. Inspirational features are metal fireplace surround and book cases as well as Beverage Bar shelving done by Wyatt Studio, painted inset style cabinets by Gamma, moroccan CLE tile backsplash and quartzite countertops.

This award-winning whole house renovation of a circa 1875 single family home in the historic Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington DC provides the client with an open and more functional layout without requiring an addition. After major structural repairs and creating one uniform floor level and ceiling height, we were able to make a truly open concept main living level, achieving the main goal of the client. The large kitchen was designed for two busy home cooks who like to entertain, complete with a built-in mud bench. The water heater and air handler are hidden inside full height cabinetry. A new gas fireplace clad with reclaimed vintage bricks graces the dining room. A new hand-built staircase harkens to the home's historic past. The laundry was relocated to the second floor vestibule. The three upstairs bathrooms were fully updated as well. Final touches include new hardwood floor and color scheme throughout the home.

Gestalterisch sollte es ein Einfaches, vom Innen - und Außenausdruck her, ein warmes und robustes Gebäude mit Wohlfühlatmosphäre und großzügiger Raumwirkung sein. Es wurden "Raum- Einbauten" in das Erdgeschoss frei eingestellt , welche nicht raumhoch ausgebildet sind, um die Großzügigkeit des Erdgeschosses zu erhalten und um reizvolle Zonierungen und Blickbezüge im Innenraum zu erhalten. Diese unterscheiden sich in der Textur und in Materialität. Ein Holzwürfel wird zu Küche, Speise und Garderobe, eine Stahlbetonklammer nimmt ein bestehendes Küchenmöbel und einen Holzofen auf. Zusammen mit dem Küchenblock "schwimmen" diese Einbauten auf einem durchgehenden, grauen Natursteinboden und binden diese harmonisch und optisch zusammen. Zusammengefasst ein ökonomisches Raumkonzept mit großzügiger und ausgefallener Raumwirkung. Das zweigeschossige Einfamilienhaus mit Flachdach ist eine klassische innerstädtische Nachverdichtung. Die beengte Grundstückssituation, der Geländeverlauf mit dem ansteigenden Hang auf der Westseite, die starke Einsichtnahme durch eine Geschosswohnbebauung im Süden, die dicht befahrene Straße im Osten und das knappe Budget waren große Herausforderungen des Entwurfs. Im Erdgeschoss liegen die Küche mit Ess- und Wohnbereich, sowie einige Nebenräume und der Eingangsbereich. Im Obergeschoss sind die Individualräume mit zwei Badezimmern untergebracht. Description: What once was an ugly duckling is now a beautiful swan. The old bathtub has been replaced with curbless shower which eliminates the trip over entrance. A new diffused glass vinyl clad window replaced the old wood sash window which was covered by a shower curtain, adding much needed natural light to the space. Bright white larger format subway tile is used to enlarge the visual space of the shower reflecting the light from the window. A boho inspired mosaic floor tile flows into the curbless shower expanding the feel of this small 36 square foot bath. A recessed medicine cabinet is placed in a wave patterned glass tile feature that runs from the counter top to the ceiling. For added ease of care, the vanity floats 10" above the floor with motion sensor lights for night time. The shower set features a angular shower column with multi function large format shower head and hand held shower both pressure and temperature controlled. Towels are kept at hand on a floating shelf above the commode.

(It’s also the most budget-friendly option in terms of plumbing). Maybe separate rooms for toilet and shower make sense? Maybe you want to work with a window above a bathtub or in the shower. 2 Consider How You Use Your Bathroom

Once you’ve gathered some inspiration, have a think about who is using the room, and how they will be using it. You may also want to accommodate a washer and dryer in the bathroom, since it’s where clothes are taken off frequently. Also consider safety and cleaning.
