The goal for this pied-a-terre was to keep an open and light ambiance, reminiscent of a being on a ship. To create better eye line views of the East River, new tilt and turn windows were installed. Custom mill work and radiator enclosures were created for this repeat client. Also, the kitchen was opened to the living room.

This master bath in Chatham, MA features Mouser custom cabinetry and a marble slab countertop. Bliss glass & stone mosaic tile covers the shower wall and is mirrored behind the bath. All products are available at Supply New England’s Kitchen & Bath Gallery. Designed in partnership with Alice Duthie of Alice's Design and Robin Decoteau of our Yarmouth, MA gallery.

The two sided fireplace is above the bathtub in the bathroom and at the foot of the bed in the bedroom. The wall is tiled on both sides and the archway into the bathroom is tiled also. A traditional looking faucet with a hand sprayer was added. The drop in tub is classic white and the tub deck is tiled.
chadbourne + doss architects
chadbourne + doss has completed a modern master bathroom that is a study in contrasting materials. The warm natural and black ebonized wood form the roof, perimeter walls, and floor of the home's interior, while smooth white walls, floor, and casework define the bathing and dressing spaces of the Master Bath.

This generous room with natural light was the perfect space to create a master bathroom built for two. The furniture vanity area leaves ample room for a “his” and “hers” area while maintaining storage between. Adding the open shelving at the end of the large whirlpool tub created a focal point adjacent to the opposite window. Finally, the oversized shower with adjustable height hand shower and built-in shampoo/soap cubbie remains open with the use of a two-sided euro-frameless clear glass wall and shower door.
