Master bath remodeled for serenity
In Palo Alto, a goal of grey water landscaping triggered a bathroom remodel. And with that, a vision of a serene bathing experience, with views out to the landscaping created a modern white bathroom, with a Japanese soaking tub and curbless shower. Warm wood accents the room with moisture resistant Accoya wood tub deck and shower bench. Custom made vanities are topped with glass countertop and integral sink.

Washington DC Asian-Inspired Master Bath Design by #MeghanBrowne4JenniferGilmer. A custom door with translucent glass panels slides discretely, on barn door hardware, behind a dresser/armoire in the master bedroom. The door frees up floor space in the bath and allows natural light to pour onto the master bedroom.Photography by Bob Narod. http://www.gilmerkitchens.com/
Weidmann Remodeling
The clients' preferred aesthetic was a warm, comfortable, spa-like space. This quickly led to the concept of a Japanese bath.
As the design work began, there was a necessity to bring a soothing sound of flowing water into the bath. The spa feel was further enhanced with the incorporation of teak vanities, stone tile, a Japanese soaking tub and Shoji screen inspired door to the water closet. This relaxing theme flowed into the bedroom with a consistent color scheme and Asian influenced hardware on the cabinetry.

Engaged by the client to update this 1970's architecturally designed waterfront home by Frank Cavalier, we refreshed the interiors whilst highlighting the existing features such as the Queensland Rosewood timber ceilings.
The concept presented was a clean, industrial style interior and exterior lift, collaborating the existing Japanese and Mid Century hints of architecture and design.
A project we thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish, we hope you do too.
