Every inch of the inside and outside living areas are re-conceived in this full house and guest-house renovation in Berkeley. In the main house the entire floor plan is flipped to re-orient public and private areas, with the formerly small, chopped up spaces opened and integrated with their surroundings. The studio, previously a deteriorating garage, is transformed into a clean and cozy space with an outdoor area of its own. A palette of screen walls, Corten steel, stucco and concrete connect the materiality and forms of the two spaces. It was all about making the shower all in one. We achieve this by adding a rain shower set with a hand shower. Recess medicine cabinet.

Jane removed the existing tub to make way for a large walk-in shower, complete with an eye-catching contemporary shower panel, contrasting natural bamboo and sleek stainless steel. The rectangular porcelain tile with a bamboo effect was installed vertically to add visual height, while paired with a stone and glass mosaic tile in a wrapped stripe for interest. The glass block window streams natural light through the door-less shower entrance, and can be seen from the bedroom. Large Master bathroom featuring heated floors, walk in shower with floating bench that looks out on the views. Custom walnut cabinets and chandelier over round bench.

The elegant powder room features wall mounted rubbed bronze fixtures, stained glass window, custom moroccan light fixture suspended from a tiled groin ceiling designed to coordinate with the mosaic tiled flooring.

Crisp and clean double vanity with shaker cabinets and under mount, square sinks. Finished off with oval mirrors and wall sconces.

Powder room turned guest bath. Borrowed 2 1/2 feet from adjacent room to make space for a 72" soaker tub, new furniture vanity with golden travertine top and custom designed backsplash. Oval mirror flanked by bohemian style lights, a luster stone wall finish and precious stones placed in metal accents make this one of our favorite spaces!

A small sized master bathroom we renovated to feel timeless, spacious, and functional. To increase storage, we installed a floating vanity, cabinets, and a credenza-like storage, offering our clients ample storage for their linens and toiletries. For a trendy aesthetic, we incorporated rich, earthy wood furnishings and contrasting hexagon shower tiling. Other elements include contemporary sconce lighting, a new shower niche, and a spa-inspired body spray. This guest bath use to be from the 70's with a bathtub and old oak vanity. This was a Jack and Jill bath so there use to be a door where the toilet now is and the toilet use to sit in front of the vanity under the window. We closed off the door and installed a contemporary toilet. We installed 18" travertine tiles on the floor and a contemporary Robern cabinet and medicine cabinet mirror with lots of storage and frosted glass sliding doors. The bathroom idea started when I took my client shopping and she fell in love with the pounded stainless steel vessel sink. We found a faucet that worked like a joy stick and because she is a pilot she thought that was a fun idea. The countertop is a travertine remnant I found. The bathtub was replaced with a walk in shower using a wave pattern tile for the back wall. We did a frameless glass shower enclosure with a hand held shower faucet
