We renovated this attic so the client could have their ideal ensuite, offering a bright and spacious bathroom and functional bedroom. The chic industrial-vintage designed bathroom features a classic black and white color palette with pops of gold for added glamor. The large walk-in shower showcases a mosaic shower niche, full-length shower bench, and a gold, vintage shower head. The bedroom features brand new wood flooring and a built-in entertainment center, perfect for all their media accessories, decor, and books! This 1927 Spanish Colonial home was in dire need of an upgraded Master bathroom. We completely gut the bathroom and re-framed the floor because the house had settled over time. The client selected hand crafted 3x6 white tile and we installed them over a full mortar bed in a Subway pattern. We reused the original pedestal sink and tub, but had the tub re-glazed. The shower rod is also original, but we had it dipped in Polish Chrome. We added two wall sconces and a store bought medicine cabinet. Photos by Jessica Abler, Los Angeles, CA

The ensuite bath, a place to rejuvenate, relax and enjoy the ritual of personal care. Here is a bathroom that provides all of the functionality with an impressive selection of fixtures and finishes. This ensuite bath was designed with obsessive attentive to detail, especially in the tilework. Note how the Corian edging of the countertops and tub deck has the same profile as the marble border tile. The height of the border tile was determined by the height of cabinets adjacent to the sink. This border caps the continuous wainscot tile that surrounds the room. The cabinet toe kick is also continuous and set out flush with the tile and cabinets. The coffered ceiling pattern is reflected in the tile border on the floor.

The homeowners often found themselves jockeying for position in the morning, and requested some breathing room. The solution was a set of double pedestal sinks, each with their own mirror and storage. One person can soak in the tub under the window, while the second enjoys the walk-in shower.

Ванная комната не отличается от общей концепции дизайна: светлая, уютная и присутствие древесной отделки. Изначально, заказчик предложил вариант голубой плитки, как цветовая гамма в спальне. Ему было предложено два варианта: по его пожеланию и по идее дизайнера, которая включает в себя общий стиль интерьера. Заказчик предпочёл вариант дизайнера, что ещё раз подтвердило её опыт и умение понимать клиента.

The wall in the entry hall is now beautifully done in a Venetian finish - red was selected as an accent wall to compliment the touches of red in the living room. New wall sconces were selected (Houzz); the art - which was previously over the fireplace in his former home - was placed on the wall. The bench cushion was reupholstered and pillows were placed on the bench to soften the look. A lovely introduction to his special home.
