This once closed and cramped space received a major update and was transformed into a beautiful open and spacious kitchen/living to represent this family's lifestyle and taste. The unique herringbone pattern in the pantry and kitchen add a touch of class and the bathroom was given a facelift to update its look. Floorplan design by Chad Hatfield, CR, CKBR. Formerly a 2 piece powder room, now converted into a functional 3 piece with glass enclosed shower.. Floating vanity helps keep space light and "square" toilet adds more modern elements while effectively using every square inch effectively.

This project won in the 2013 Builders Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Housing Excellence Award for Best Urban Renewal Renovation Project. The glass bowl was made in the glass studio owned by the owner which is adjacent to the residence. The mirror is a repurposed window. The door is repurposed from a boarding house. George Mendel

This Connecticut couple's bathroom had adequate but poorly utilized space. Outdated ceramic tiles, a lack of storage and a shared sink was inconvenient and less than aesthetically appealing. So Barry Miller of Simply Baths, Inc. worked with the homeowners to create a new and improved master bathroom. The first step: demolishing the 56 sq. foot master closet and adding that space to the bathroom. To replace this storage, the old sitting room was transformed into a 250 square foot walk-in master closet. The newly enlarged bath now features a large two-person, barrier-free walk-in shower with a natural pebble mosaic floor. The sandy-beige floor-to-ceiling porcelain tile that accents the shower and continues throughout most of the bathroom adds earth tones while the blue glass mosaic wall behind the freestanding soaking tub adds spa style. Both the shower and the tub are enhanced by natural light from a nearby window, which also offers views of the peaceful New England countryside. The two wall-hanging vanities have a simple, clean design while offering plenty of storage space, and the two vessel sinks add a touch of elegance. The renovated space is contemporary and luxurious - the perfect combination of natural elements in a spa-like setting.

A bathroom remodel to give this space an open, light, and airy feel features a large walk-in shower complete with a stunning 72’ Dreamline 3-panel frameless glass door, two Kohler body sprayers, Hansgrohe Raindance shower head, ceiling light and Panasonic fan, and a shower niche outfitted with Carrara Tumbled Hexagon marble to contrast with the clean, white ceramic Carrara Matte Finish tiled walls. The rest of the bathroom includes wall fixtures from the Kohler Forte Collection and a Kohler Damask vanity with polished Carrara marble countertops, roll out drawers, and built in bamboo organizers. The light color of the vanity along with the Sherwin Williams Icelandic Blue painted walls added to the light and airy feel of this space. The goal was to make this space feel more light and airy, and due to lack of natural light was, we removed a jacuzzi tub and replaced with a large walk in shower. This Beautifully updated Master Bath was completely redesigned from a builders standard bath to the spacious ADA friendly space. Dark Grey cabinets make a dramatic statement.

A Brookfield master bath was in desperate need of a makeover. The bathroom was dated with vinyl flooring, a claustrophobic stand-up shower and a tub that wasn’t used. Kowalske Kitchen & Bath designed this bathroom with two main goals – give the couple a spacious walk-in shower and give them a bold, fun design. The design is stunning and on-trend. The highlight of the space is the patterned floor and aqua blue cabinetry. The new vanity spans the entire wall, giving them additional storage space. The glass shower features subway tile walls and hexagon carrara marble floor tile. The room is completed with Kohler fixtures, oil rubbed bronze lighting and hardware, open shelving and antique gold mirrors.
