Built in the early 1900s, this brownstone’s 83-square-foot bathroom had seen better days. Upgrades like a furniture-style vanity and oil-rubbed bronze faucetry preserve its vintage feel while adding modern functionality.

The upstairs jack and Jill bathroom for two teenage boys was done in black and white palette. Concrete look, hex shaped tiles on the floor add depth and "cool" to the space. The contemporary lights and round metal framed mirror were mounted on a shiplap wall, again adding texture and layers to the space.

This home is a modern farmhouse on the outside with an open-concept floor plan and nautical/midcentury influence on the inside! From top to bottom, this home was completely customized for the family of four with five bedrooms and 3-1/2 bathrooms spread over three levels of 3,998 sq. ft. This home is functional and utilizes the space wisely without feeling cramped. Some of the details that should be highlighted in this home include the 5” quartersawn oak floors, detailed millwork including ceiling beams, abundant natural lighting, and a cohesive color palate. The client wanted a bigger shower, so we changed the existing floor plan and made there small tiny shower into an arched and more usable open storage closet concept, while opting for a combo shower/tub area. We incorporated art deco features and arches as you see in the floor tile, shower niche, and overall shape of the new open closet.
