Our client has a wonderful 1940's home in South Minneapolis. While the home has lots of charm, the tiny main level bathroom was in need of a remodel. We removed the tub/shower and created a curb-less shower to remove as many visual barriers as possible. We created a custom vanity that was more shallow than average in order to maximize the walking space within the bathroom. A simple glass panel from floor to ceiling keeps the water in the shower. The tile backsplash from the vanity area runs all the way around the bathroom as an added detail and also allowed us to have protection from the water at the vanity without taking up precious countertop space. We reused the original light fixture and added a frosted band around the mirror for an extra touch.

This elegant bathroom is essential part of winding down at the end of a long day. The wallpaper adds a classic, traditional touch. The real show stopped in this bathroom is the wall paneling in a rich neutral paint color.

Working from the existing home’s deficits, we designed a bright and classic home well-suited to today’s living. Instead of a dark tunnel-like entry, we have a skylight custom curving stair that no one can believe is not original. Instead of a maze of rooms to reach the gorgeous park-like backyard, we have a clear central axis, allowing a sightline right through from the top of the stairs. Instead of three bedrooms scattered all over the house, we have zoned them to the second floor, each well-proportioned with a true master suite. Painted wood paneling, face-frame cabinets, box-beam beilings and Calacatta counters express the classic grandeur of the home.

Getting clean becomes performance art in this glass-walled Roman shower. The family chose to remove the tub from the master bathroom to make way for this spacious walk-in shower. Limestone is artistically cut to look like it is falling away – ruins without the rubble.

This remodel includes glass mosaic shower tile with octagon matte white with grey dot tile floor. It also includes white subway, white chair rail and Anatolia element border around edge. Other features in this remodel include Kohler Pedistal sink, and faucet, Moen shower faucet, Jaclo linear drain and Ferguson Moen shower seat.

The subtle color palette of taupe grey and crisp white speak volumes in this master bathroom! We wanted this bathroom to be timeless yet also efficient for this established young couple. We made sure to incorporate everything they would need, from their own personal areas to a classic makeup vanity to a sectioned off toilet room! The glass walls on the walk-in shower luster in the bright, sunlit bathroom.
