As one follows the natural light to enter the bathroom, one’s attention is immediately captured by the L-shaped mirror framing the large window with another sort of infinity view outside. This true mid-century modern home was ready to be revived. The home was built in 1959 and lost its character throughout the various remodels over the years. Our clients came to us trusting that with our help, they could love their home again. This design is full of clean lines, yet remains playful and organic. The first steps in the kitchen were removing the soffit above the previous cabinets and reworking the cabinet layout. They didn't have an island before and the hood was in the middle of the room. They gained so much storage in the same square footage of kitchen. We started by incorporating custom flat slab walnut cabinetry throughout the home. We lightened up the rooms with bright white countertops and gave the kitchen a 3-dimensional emerald green backsplash tile. In the hall bathroom, we chose a penny round floor tile, a terrazzo tile installed in a grid pattern from floor-to-ceiling behind the floating vanity. The hexagon mirror and asymmetrical pendant light are unforgettable. We finished it with a frameless glass panel in the shower and crisp, white tile. In the master bath, we chose a wall-mounted faucet, a full wall of glass tile which runs directly into the shower niche and a geometric floor tile. Our clients can't believe this is the same home and they feel so lucky to be able to enjoy it every day.

This coastal inspired bathroom hits the reset button in a fresh and modern way. Out with the travertine and white tile countertops, in with white, light greys and blues, complimented by beautiful bamboo wood tones. A mosaic leaf tile glitters as the backsplash and accent niche areas. Swaths of marble like large format tile wrap the shower and tub area. Stainless steel fixtures, frameless glass enclosure, and a crystal chandelier reflect light around the room.

Creation of a new master bathroom, kids’ bathroom, toilet room and a WIC from a mid. size bathroom was a challenge but the results were amazing. The new kids’ bathroom was given a good size to work with. 5.5’ by 9’. Allowing us to have a good size shower with a bench, 3’ vanity and comfortable space for the toilet to be placed. The bathroom floor is made of white Thasos marble for a neutral look since the wall tiles were so unique in color and design. The main walls of the bathroom are made from blue subway tiles with diagonal lines pattern while the main wall is made of large 24”x6” tile with diamond/triangle shapes in different warm and cool colors. Notice the unique shampoo niche in the bench area, it continues into the pony wall as well without any interruptions thus creating a long L-shaped space for all the bath items to remain hidden.
