Our clients decided to take their childhood home down to the studs and rebuild into a contemporary three-story home filled with natural light. We were struck by the architecture of the home and eagerly agreed to provide interior design services for their kitchen, three bathrooms, and general finishes throughout. The home is bright and modern with a very controlled color palette, clean lines, warm wood tones, and variegated tiles.

This basement renovation received a major facelift and now it’s everyone’s favorite spot in the house! There is now a theater room, exercise space, and high-end bathroom with Art Deco tropical details throughout. A custom sectional can turn into a full bed when the ottomans are nestled into the corner, the custom wall of mirrors in the exercise room gives a grand appeal, while the bathroom in itself is a spa retreat.

Full renovation of this is a one of a kind condominium overlooking the 6th fairway at El Macero Country Club. Gorgeous back in 1971 and now it's "spectacular spectacular!" This 1/2 bath makes you feel like you are at The Cosmopolitan. The vessel sink by MR Direct Sinks and Faucets is paired with a waterfall faucet in brushed nickel. The frost glass cubed pendant lights are by Tech Lighting. Countertop is Caearstone in Organic White. Backsplash is Versace Decori Riga/Axel Bianco Satinato Plantino. The custom cabinet is a stained Maple.

Ania Omski-Talwar Location: Danville, CA, USA The house was built in 1963 and is reinforced cinder block construction, unusual for California, which makes any renovation work trickier. The kitchen we replaced featured all maple cabinets and floors and pale pink countertops. With the remodel we didn’t change the layout, or any window/door openings. The cabinets may read as white, but they are actually cream with an antique glaze on a flat panel door. All countertops and backsplash are granite. The original copper hood was replaced by a custom one in zinc. Dark brick veneer fireplace is now covered in white limestone. The homeowners do a lot of entertaining, so even though the overall layout didn’t change, I knew just what needed to be done to improve function. This artistic and design-forward family approached us at the beginning of the pandemic with a design prompt to blend their love of midcentury modern design with their Caribbean roots. With her parents originating from Trinidad & Tobago and his parents from Jamaica, they wanted their home to be an authentic representation of their heritage, with a midcentury modern twist. We found inspiration from a colorful Trinidad & Tobago tourism poster that they already owned and carried the tropical colors throughout the house — rich blues in the main bathroom, deep greens and oranges in the powder bathroom, mustard yellow in the dining room and guest bathroom, and sage green in the kitchen. This project was featured on Dwell in January 2022.
