The design of this 4227 square foot estate home was recognized by the International Design and Architecture Awards 2019 and nominated in these 4 categories: Luxury Residence Canada, Kitchen Design over 100 000GBP, Bedroom and Bathroom. Our design intent here was to create a home that felt harmonious and luxurious, yet livable and inviting. This home was refurbished with only the finest finishes and custom design details throughout. We hand selected decor items, designed furniture pieces to suit this home and commissioned an artist to provide us with the perfect art pieces to compliment.

This Florida Gulf home is a project by DIY Network where they asked viewers to design a home and then they built it! Talk about giving a consumer what they want! We were fortunate enough to have been picked to tile not only the kitchen of the home, but this gorgeous bathroom as well! This bathroom has a modern look with beach accents. Our firm collaborated on this project as a spec home with a well-known Chicago builder. At that point the goal was to allow space for the home-buyer to envision their lifestyle. A clean slate for further interior work. After the client purchased this home with his two young girls, we curated a space for the family to live, work and play under one roof. This home features built-in storage, book shelving, home office, lower level gym and even a homework room. Everything has a place in this home, and the rooms are designed for gathering as well as privacy. A true 2020 lifestyle!

Virginia AIA Honor Award for Excellence in Residential Design | This house is designed around the simple concept of placing main living spaces and private bedrooms in separate volumes, and linking the two wings with a well-organized kitchen. In doing so, the southern living space becomes a pavilion that enjoys expansive glass openings and a generous porch. Maintaining a geometric self-confidence, this front pavilion possesses the simplicity of a barn, while its large, shadowy openings suggest shelter from the elements and refuge within. High windows in the bathrooms provide a feeling of privacy without the need for window treatments or shades. The black granite sink floats over white oak storage.
