Completed in 2022: A recently completed a modern architectural extension to a home in Melbourne’s inner north. The design takes advantage of the established garden creating an urban oasis! The contrast between the original building and the addition is preserved and has quite an impact! All modern comforts are included including stone benchtops, new designer kitchen and hydronic heating.

In the guest bathroom, we used complementary finishes that coordinate with the rest of the condo. The hexagon floor tiles are well suited for the uniquely shaped bathroom and the porcelain perfectly captures the appearance of classic Carrara marble. Elongated white subway tile is paired with a simple band of marble accent tile and two marble shelves complete the look. The deep modern bathtub provides the owners with an option if they ever want to take a long relaxing soak.

This guest bath was remodeled to provide a shared bathroom for two growing boys. The dark blue gray vanity adds a masculine touch while double sinks and mirrors provide each boy with his own space. A tall custom linen cabinet in the shower area provides plenty of storage for towels and bath sundries, while a handy pullout hamper on the bottom keeps the area tidy. Classic white subway tile is repeated in the tub shower and on the vanity accent wall. Marble look porcelain floor tile picks up the gray color of the vanity and provides a beautiful and durable floor surface.

Double vanities with tall towers and a dozen drawers provide ample storage space. The grey quartz counters and white vanities coordinate perfectly with the marble patterned floor tile. This hall bathroom, shared by two teenage boys, was given an update in grey and white, with a preppy, marble floor in a chevron pattern. The shower stall was tiled with a marble penny round floor and elongated subway tile walls. Mirrors wrapped around the vanity nooks, enlarging the space. Faucet was wall mounted onto a quartz backsplash.

Crisp and clean, the ensuite bathroom is an oasis on its own. The rectangular freestanding tub sits under a large window and beside the custom European style shower. A 48" vessel trough sink sits on top of a custom wood vanity with quartz top and backsplash. Shiplap was installed on the back wall of the vanity, wrapping around to the custom-built open cubbies.
