Kohler
Drawing inspiration from the rich, ornate detail of colonial American architecture, the formal design of this bathroom is punctuated by cozy details like the ample window seat.
Simply Baths & Kitchens
The homeowners of this CT master bath wanted a daring, edgy space that took some risks, but made a bold statement. Calling on designer Rachel Peterson of Simply Baths, Inc. this lack-luster master bath gets an edgy update by opening up the space, adding split-face rock, custom concrete sinks and accents, and keeping the lines clean and uncluttered.
The Iconic Space
We went all out on fun with the bathroom design. To increase the perceived size, we selected floating vanities and vertical mirrors. To further the vertical line we added hanging pendants. To add warmth we added a Persian rug- a highly absorbent and versatile option.

York House Designs
There is a lovely, luxurious, spa like feeling in this master ensuite. The dark wood of the vanity and brass taps work perfectly alongside these grey marble effect tiles. We also used a dark wood effect porcelain tile on the floor and bespoke, frameless smoked grey glass for the shower making it feel completely private.

THE CHALLENGE: Transform an outdated and compartmentalized 1950’s era home into an open, light filled, modern residence fit for a young and growing family.
THE SOLUTION: Juxtaposition was the name of the game. Dark floors contrast light walls; small spaces are enlarged by clean layouts; soft textures balance hard surfaces. Balanced opposites create a composed, family friendly residence.
