Combining two smaller bedrooms, we carved out space for a new master suite in this whole-house renovation. The master bath has a long double vanity, a roomy shower, and plenty of storage. Tiles are glass mosaic, ceramic, and travertine; the counter is Caesarstone. Folding shower bench is by Moen. Photo: Jeffrey Totaro

The client for this bath requested that Perianth create a sleek and chic hotel feel for his Upper West Side condo.
The concept for the bath as a whole was to create an escape; the concept for the shower itself was to create an enveloping mood that surrounded you from floor to ceiling. By bringing the lighter tiles into the corners, the black tiles in the shower were defined. Whimsical and reasonably priced artwork helps to make it light, fun and still sophisticated. All elements in the space were combined to achieve a luxurious, convenient and comfortable space.

Masculine bathroom with glass and stone tile on the walls and back splash. The floors have travertine hexagon mosaic tile.

The client's brief was to gut a dated bathroom with a built-in corner tub, tiny shower and 1970's light oak vanity cabinet with a single sink.
They requested a large steam shower with a built-in seat and a vanity cabinet with two sinks. By reconfiguring the room layout, I was able to incorporate a free standing bathtub and separate the toilet from the main part of the room. This bathroom features a heated floor and a sill-less shower. The glass and marble mosaic tile adds texture and interest to the space.

The new bathroom provides much more storage than before, along with a cleaner, updated look. The upper medicine cabinets are recessed into the wall, providing an amazing amount of storage. The overhead soffit was extended to streamline the look, as well as to house recessed lighting above the vanity. Undercabinet lighting illuminates the countertop as well.
