New Explode Construction
Our Lake Forest project transformed a traditional master bathroom into a harmonious blend of timeless design and practicality. We expanded the space, added a luxurious walk-in shower, and his-and-her sinks, all adorned with exquisite tile work. Witness the transformation!

This bathroom was re-designed to create a separate water closet, large vanity with dual sinks and a custom shower. Glass, porcelain and pebble come together to create a soothing atmosphere for a steam shower after working out. The bench below the window is capped in the same quartz used in the vanity counter top. Body sprays and dual rain-head fixtures create a luxurious two-person shower space. The existing skylight box and window were tiled with glass to create a moisture barrier so that the home owners could take advantage of the additional light. Photographer: Michael Conner

AFTER: New master bath shower: As mentioned in the previous image, diagonal alignments (with emphasis on drawing the eye to corners) is essential in creating a greater sense of space in a smallish room. Here the eye is drawn to high corner windows, echoing the corner windows on the adjacent corner, with pebble-backed niches, also snug to corner, mimicing the windows’ configuration below. Centrally-located tatami mat-styled porcelain tile continues into the shower area, providing a sense of seamless transition into the curbless shower, with texturally-rich pebble flooring beyond.

This bathroom is as practical as it is eye catching. The double bowl vanity boosts the efficiency of the morning routine. Ample countertop space between the sinks translates into extra storage below. Grey wall tiles mixed with glass mosaic tiles create visual interest at the vanity & the spa like shower.
