This master bathroom by Nathan Gornall Design was introduced to a large heritage listed property in Sydney's Killara, improving the home's amenity whilst remaining sensitive to the period of the rest of the home.

This upstairs bathroom features Southern Tiles marble floor and half height wall tile combined with a subway tile from Academy tiles in neutral colours. Caeasarstone benchtop below a feature timber shelf and oval mirror.

Art Deco bathroom, featuring original 1930s cream textured tiles with green accent tile line and bath (resurfaced). Vanity designed by Hindley & Co with curved Corian top and siding, handcrafted by JFJ Joinery. The matching curved mirrored medicine cabinet is designed by Hindley & Co. This penthouse apartment has glorious 270-degree views, and when we engaged to complete the extensive renovation, we knew that this apartment would be a visual masterpiece once finished. So we took inspiration from the colours featuring in many of their art pieces, which we bought into the kitchen colour, soft furnishings and wallpaper. We kept the bathrooms a more muted palette using a pale green on the cabinetry. The MC Lozza dining table, custom-designed wall units and make-up area added uniqueness to this space.

Soft curves & clean clutter free lines of this bathroom were generated with a modern slant whilst respecting the age and era of the home. The colour palette soft and visually restful, enhancing the impression of space and calm. A custom designed window and the addition of a fan light over the existing doorway gives an appropriate blend between the old and the new, providing much improved natural lighting.
