The palette was kept clean and bright with classic materials, including white tile, nickel plumbing fixtures, and walnut cabinetry. Terrazzo with amethyst and green flecks adds a modern touch.

This beautiful master bathroom was created in collaboration with Gina Wagner of Seed Interiors. By splitting the vanities to each side of the room, the bulk of the cabinets is minimized. Photographed by Phillip McClain.

This house is ideally located in the woods, backing up to the Cambridge reservoir in Waltham. But the beautiful views and secluded outdoor spaces could not compensate for the 1970’s interiors, particularly the master bathroom and kitchen, which lacked distinction and needed to be updated. Black River Architects reorganized and totally renovated the master bathroom, creating a dramatic bathing alcove which contributes light and custom craftsmanship to the rest of the master suite.

Free-standing tub, generous shower stall, toilet and bidet, double-sink console and generous storage all in a 9x13 space. I don't know how we did it ;)

Each bathroom was carefully redesigned to maximize layout, utilizing beautiful materials that pay homage to the views to the water outside. Sleek and contemporary the stone creates a stunning backdrop to fixtures and lighting accessories.
