Set under a unique circular detail on the ceiling, the tub mirrors the shape. Meticulous mosaic tile work surround the tub in this Paradise Valley, AZ bathroom. Attention to detail is apparent in the marble Corinthian columns and the unique tile work on the floor.

We wanted to something "cool" for this bathroom, so we made this awesome corner niche. The yellow tile matches perfectly with the yellow in the floor tile.

Don Dear Photography: Tub and steam shower share the same space. Works great when space is limited. Better to have a larger spectacular space and look than two smaller mediocre spaces.

Only the chicest of modern touches for this detached home in Tornto’s Roncesvalles neighbourhood. Textures like exposed beams and geometric wild tiles give this home cool-kid elevation. The front of the house is reimagined with a fresh, new facade with a reimagined front porch and entrance. Inside, the tiled entry foyer cuts a stylish swath down the hall and up into the back of the powder room. The ground floor opens onto a cozy built-in banquette with a wood ceiling that wraps down one wall, adding warmth and richness to a clean interior. A clean white kitchen with a subtle geometric backsplash is located in the heart of the home, with large windows in the side wall that inject light deep into the middle of the house. Another standout is the custom lasercut screen features a pattern inspired by the kitchen backsplash tile. Through the upstairs corridor, a selection of the original ceiling joists are retained and exposed. A custom made barn door that repurposes scraps of reclaimed wood makes a bold statement on the 2nd floor, enclosing a small den space off the multi-use corridor, and in the basement, a custom built in shelving unit uses rough, reclaimed wood. The rear yard provides a more secluded outdoor space for family gatherings, and the new porch provides a generous urban room for sitting outdoors. A cedar slatted wall provides privacy and a backrest.

This bathroom originally had a shower/tub combo at the far wall - the homeowner wanted to turn it into a Powder bath only. So we moved the toilet position which allowed for a floating vanity and fun focal wall backsplash. We chose to place the concrete tiles on the floor as well, for extra pop! I designed a custom asymmetrical vanity, made locally by Andrew Morgan furniture, and topped it with a beautiful luminous quartzite stone. A floating circular mirror, concrete vessel sink and chain mail drop pendant add a touch of Glam-Glitz. Completing the accessorizing is a custom sized giclee painting in the palette of our concrete tile colors by Left Bank Art.
