I designed this master bath vanity and had it built, using parts I ordered from four different suppliers. Counter is soapstone. Shelves are glass, supported by brass tubing. The roomy walk-in shower forgoes a cumbersome door allowing the polished white marble to take center stage in this bathroom design. Soft gray veining in the marble provides a visual connection to the weathered look of the vanity. Although the marble was purchased as contemporary 12x12-inch tiles, they were cut in half and installed in a more vintage-flavored running-bond pattern.
