Our clients were living with outdated, dark bathrooms in their newly purchased Falling Star home. The dull palette of warm neutrals did not reflect the couple’s East Coast traditional style. They noticed several renovation projects by JRP in the neighborhood. The professionalism and the process impressed them. After receiving a Pardon Our Dust courtesy letter from JRP, the couple decided to call for a consultation. Their wish list was clear. They wanted the Falling Star design to be light, airy, and white. It had to reflect their East Coast roots. Working with the original footprint, JRP completely transformed the space, creating a tranquil primary suite rich with traditional detail. The result is an effusive celebration of classic style. Now, the radiant rooms glow. To enlarge the primary closet, the JRP team removed a cluttered storage area. Inside, a separate dressing space is finished with upgraded storage and refined built-in cabinetry with recessed panels. Pops of glam such as Robert Abbey glass chandeliers and brilliant bits of chrome are moored by traditional elements like crown molding, porcelain tiles, and a quartz-clad drop-in soaking tub. Large windows in the primary bath and funnel skylights in the closet harness the natural light to stunning effect, sweeping the rooms with the cool feeling of fresh air. The “Sail Cloth” white paint adds soft depth to the uncomplicated elegance of both rooms. NEW EXPANDED LARGER SHOWER, PLUMBING, TUB & SHOWER GLASS The family wanted to update their Jack & Jill’s guest bathroom. They chose stunning grey Polished tile for the walls with a beautiful deco coordinating tile for the large wall niche. Custom frameless shower glass for the enclosed tub/shower combination. The shower and bath plumbing installation in a champagne bronze Delta 17 series with a dual function pressure balanced shower system and integrated volume control with hand shower. A clean line square white drop-in tub to finish the stunning shower area. ALL NEW FLOORING, WALL TILE & CABINETS For this updated design, the homeowners choose a Calcutta white for their floor tile. All new paint for walls and cabinets along with new hardware and lighting. Making this remodel a stunning project!

The master bathroom remodel features a mix of black and white tile. In the shower, a variety of tiles are used.

This family expanded their living space with a new family room extension with a large bathroom and a laundry room. The new roomy family room has reclaimed beams on the ceiling, porcelain wood look flooring and a wood burning fireplace with a stone facade going straight up the cathedral ceiling. The fireplace hearth is raised with the TV mounted over the reclaimed wood mantle. The new bathroom is larger than the existing was with light and airy porcelain tile that looks like marble without the maintenance hassle. The unique stall shower and platform tub combination is separated from the rest of the bathroom by a clear glass shower door and partition. The trough drain located near the tub platform keep the water from flowing past the curbless entry. Complimenting the light and airy feel of the new bathroom is a white vanity with a light gray quartz top and light gray paint on the walls. To complete this new addition to the home we added a laundry room complete with plenty of additional storage and stackable washer and dryer.

The master suite continues into the master bathroom. This space had a cosmetic improvement with the painting of existing cabinetry, paneling the face of the soaking tub, the addition of wallpaper and window treatments.

When designing and installing this bathroom, dRemodeling went to no expensive to give the bathroom only the highest of quality and consistency. In this instance, the tiling of the backsplash didn't need to be placed within the two doorways and trim. However, the continuation of the tiling to the designer integral to the effect of the enveloping backsplash, and therefore, giving careful consideration and time when designing, and installing.
