This remodel went from a tiny story-and-a-half Cape Cod, to a charming full two-story home. A second full bath on the upper level with a double vanity provides a perfect place for two growing children to get ready in the morning. The walls are painted in Silvery Moon 1604 by Benjamin Moore. When designer Rachel Peterson of Simply Baths, Inc. first met this young, stylish couple at their house they had a small handful of items they knew they really wanted in their master bathroom: a freestanding tub, a chandelier, a larger shower and more counter space. But the truth was, the bath needed a major face-lift. The space was outdated and lacked personality. It certainly didn't reflect the homeowners and their elegant aesthetic. The combination of stone and wood tiles lends just enough of a rustic flair to bring a little bit of the outdoors in and while helping to balance some of the feminine elements in the room with simple masculine touches. This is a small bathroom off the master bedroom. Becuase of the small space we put in a 48x48 tile shower and heated floors. A glass wall was used to help make the space feel bigger.

The hall bathroom was designed with a new grey/blue furniture style vanity, giving the space a splash of color, and topped with a pure white Porcelain integrated sink. A new tub was installed with a tall but thin-framed sliding glass door—a thoughtful design to accommodate taller family and guests. The shower walls were finished in a Porcelain marble-looking tile to match the vanity and floor tile, a beautiful deep blue that also grounds the space and pulls everything together. All-in-all, Gayler Design Build took a small cramped bathroom and made it feel spacious and airy, even without a window!

Family bathroom remodeled. The existing bathroom had a dividing wall and two small windows. The wall was removed and a new wider window installed. The bathroom door was replaced with a sliding barn door. New vanity, countertops, tile walls and tile floor.

Small updates to this bathroom layout made a big impact. We moved the shower area out of the dormer to allow for much needed headroom. Under the dormer, new shelving was added for additional storage. The size of the vanity was extended and a half wall as added next to the toilet to keep it out of plain sight.

Green is this year’s hottest hue and our custom Sharer Cabinetry vanities stun in a gorgeous basil green! Incorporating bold colors into your design can create just the right amount of interest and flare!
