Our client had the laundry room down in the basement, like so many other homes, but could not figure out how to get it upstairs. There simply was no room for it, so when we were called in to design the bathroom, we were asked to figure out a way to do what so many home owners are doing right now. That is; how do we bring the laundry room upstairs where all of the bedrooms are located, where all the dirty laundry is generated, saving us from having to go down 3 floors back and forth. So, the looming questions were, can this be done in our already small bathroom area, and If this can be done, how can we do it to make it fit within the upstairs living quarters seamlessly? It would take some creative thinking, some compromising and some clients who trust you enough to make some decisions that would affect not only their bathroom but their closets, their hallway, parts of their master bedroom and then having the logistics to work around their family, going in and out of their private sanctuary, keeping the area clean while generating a mountain of dust and debris, all in the same breath of being mindful of their precious children and a lovely dog.

The Aerius - Modern Craftsman in Ridgefield Washington by Cascade West Development Inc. Upon opening the 8ft tall door and entering the foyer an immediate display of light, color and energy is presented to us in the form of 13ft coffered ceilings, abundant natural lighting and an ornate glass chandelier. Beckoning across the hall an entrance to the Great Room is beset by the Master Suite, the Den, a central stairway to the Upper Level and a passageway to the 4-bay Garage and Guest Bedroom with attached bath. Advancement to the Great Room reveals massive, built-in vertical storage, a vast area for all manner of social interactions and a bountiful showcase of the forest scenery that allows the natural splendor of the outside in. The sleek corner-kitchen is composed with elevated countertops. These additional 4in create the perfect fit for our larger-than-life homeowner and make stooping and drooping a distant memory. The comfortable kitchen creates no spatial divide and easily transitions to the sun-drenched dining nook, complete with overhead coffered-beam ceiling. This trifecta of function, form and flow accommodates all shapes and sizes and allows any number of events to be hosted here. On the rare occasion more room is needed, the sliding glass doors can be opened allowing an out-pour of activity. Almost doubling the square-footage and extending the Great Room into the arboreous locale is sure to guarantee long nights out under the stars. Transitional master bathroom

Instead of having a center drain in the shower, we added a corner drain. Now the clients do not have to stand on top of the drain.

A frameless crystal clear shower encasement and door in our favorite Starphire Glass allows for the flow of light and makes the small bath feel much larger. This gorgeous bathroom also features a custom built-in vanity, custom shower cubbies and porcelain tile in a gray and white color scheme.

Our customer's came to us to update their hall bath used by their children. They wanted a modern design that would grow along with the children. We switched the toilet with the vanity for a practical layout. The family added a touch of color with their accessories making the space vibrant and kid friendly.

We love this all-black and white tile shower with mosaic tile, white subway tile, and custom bathroom hardware plus a built-in shower bench.
