Black and White Bathroom Interior Design Project

Classic marble master bathroom by Blackdoor by Tamra Coviello. This light and bright bathroom is grounded by the dark espresso cabinets. The large rectangular mirror makes this small bathroom feel much bigger.

Calacatta marble floor tile was installed in a diamond pattern in the hall bathroom and a coordinating basketweave mosaic was used in the large walk-in shower. We converted a small linen closet to open shelving to make towels and toiletries easily accessible to guests.

Shower walls are Bedrosians Barrel 8x48" tile in Harvest, installed in a vertical offset pattern. The exterior wall of the open shower is custom patchwork wood cladding, enclosed by exposed beams. Robe hooks on the back wall of the shower are Delta Dryden double hooks in brilliance stainless. Master bathroom flooring and floor base is 12x24" Bedrosians, from the Simply collection in Modern Coffee, flooring is installed in an offset pattern. Bathroom vanity is circular sawn rustic alder from Big Horn Cabinetry, finished in dark walnut. Doors are shaker style. The textured cast iron square knobs are from Signature Hardware. Vanity countertop and backsplash is engineered quartz from Pental in "Coastal Gray". Dual sinks are undermounted and from the Kohler Ladena collection. Towel ring is from the Kohler Stately collection in brushed nickel. Bathrooms walls and ceiling are painted in Sherwin Williams "Kilim Beige."

They knew exactly what they wanted in this new space and their impeccable taste shines through. From the geometric tiles to the antique brass fixtures, style is abundant in this new space. Complete Master Bathroom remodel! We began by removing every surface from floor to ceiling including the shower/tub combo to enable us to create a zero-threshold walk-in shower. We then re placed the window with a new obscure rain glass. The vanity cabinets are a cool grey shaker style cabinet topped with a subtle Pegasus Quartz and a Waterfall edge leading into the shower. The shower wall tile is a 12x24 Themar Bianco Lasa with Soft Grey brush strokes throughout. The featured Herringbone wall connects to the shower using the 3x12 Themar Bianco Lasa tile. We even added a little Herringbone detail to the custom soap niche inside the shower. For the shower floor, we installed a flat pebble that created a spa like escape! This bathroom encompasses all neutral earth tones which you can see through the solid panel of clear glass that is all the way to the ceiling. For the proportion of the space, we used a skinny 4x40 Savanna Milk wood look tile flooring for the main area. Finally, the bathroom is completed with chrome fixtures such as a flush mounted rain head, shower head and wand, two single hole faucets and last but not least… those gorgeous pendant lights above the vanity!

In this Lake View bathroom, we kept the floorplan and not much else. The main feature is the custom walk-in shower, with beveled white subway tiles, corner bench, and framed niche. There are a luxurious 3 showerheads: standard, rainfall, and handheld. With smooth curves and a modern brushed nickel finish, the shower fixtures are environmentally conscious and ADA compliant. The shower floor is a porcelain 2×2 hexagon mosaic with a marble print. This gives you the look of expensive stone, but without the maintenance and slipping of the real thing. The tile coordinates with the statuary classique quartz used on the vanity counter, which also has a polished marble print to it, and the bracket wall shelves which are real marble (though you can hardly tell the difference by looking). The Bertch vanity is a dark cherry shale finish to give some contrast in the white bathroom, with shaker doors and an undermount sink. The original bathroom was lacking in storage, so we took down the extra-wide mirror. In its place, we have those open shelves and an oval mirrored medicine cabinet, recessed so you can’t even tell it’s hiding all that storage. And speaking of hidden features, the bathroom is behind a pocket door, thus saving some extra floor space. Finally, that flooring. The tile is a Turkish Stratford porcelain tile, 8×8 with matte finish. This adds some small details while giving that pop of color people love. Further, the bronze tones in the tile help tie in the dark vanity.
