What makes this remodeling project unique is that it was designed for accessibility and built for two individuals with conflicting needs. He was tall and she was very petite. She was visually impaired while he was hearing impaired and difficulty lifting his feet so he shuffled a lot.
Some features to accommodate them are: toe kick lighting on a motion sensor so as soon as they come into the room the lights go on automatically
Grab bars at two different heights because of his size vs her size
Counter tops are different heights
He uses shower she uses tub
Hand held at the seat in the shower in case they need a wheelchair. Biggest challenge in completing this space was dropping the shower floor to the correct height because it doesn’t have a curb.

Harriet Hughes Interior Design
Completely bespoke from beginning to end, this master bathroom is wonderful and feels like that in a hotel. Marble flooring and the herringbone tiles in the steam shower were water laser cut, for extreme precision.
Reier Construction
Frosty White shaker cabinets lighten up the enlarged bathroom. The extra quartz over the toilet extends the countertop space. The heated tile floors keep the room nice & cozy.
Chi Renovation & Design
A complete gut rehab job we finished for a rental unit in Chicago. We wanted to provide the best layout and design for future tenants, so we created a 3 bedroom home with an open kitchen and living room area. One bedroom includes a large ensuite bath, and all rooms boast large and convenient closet space.
With a clean and simple design, this unit will complement any interior style that the tenants may have. Easy maintenance and easy-to-clean hardwood floors are an additional plus!
