The client derived inspiration for her new shower from a photo featuring a multi-colored tile floor. Using this photo, Gayler Design Build custom-designed a shower pan that incorporated six different colors of 4-inch hexagon tiles by Lunada Bay. These tiles were beautifully combined and laid in a “dark to light” pattern effectively transforming the shower into a work of art. Contributing to the room’s classic and timeless bathroom design was the shower walls that were designed in cotton white 3x6 subway tiles with grey grout. An elongated, oversized shower niche completed the look providing just the right space for necessary soap and shampoo bottles.

A modern-meets-vintage farmhouse-style tiny house designed and built by Parlour & Palm in Portland, Oregon. This adorable space may be small, but it is mighty, and includes a kitchen, bathroom, living room, sleeping loft, and outdoor deck. Many of the features - including cabinets, shelves, hardware, lighting, furniture, and outlet covers - are salvaged and recycled.

The master bath is a true oasis, with white marble on the floor, countertop and backsplash, in period-appropriate subway and basket-weave patterns. Wall and floor-mounted chrome fixtures at the sink, tub and shower provide vintage charm and contemporary function. Chrome accents are also found in the light fixtures, cabinet hardware and accessories. The heated towel bars and make-up area with lit mirror provide added luxury. Access to the master closet is through the wood 5-panel pocket door.

These homeowners wanted to freshen up their master bath and at the same time, improve it's overall function and retain/accentuate it's vintage qualities. There was nothing wrong with the hex tile floor, toilet, or vintage tub. The toilet was repurposed, the floor was cleaned up, and the tub refinished. Cabinetry and vintage trim was added in critical locations along with a new, taller one-sink vanity. This 1868 Victorian home was transformed to keep the charm of the house but also to bring the bathrooms up to date! We kept the traditional charm and mixed it with some southern charm for this family to enjoy for years to come!

Modern farmhouse bathroom remodel featuring a beautiful Carrara marble counter and gray vanity which includes two drawers and an open shelf at the bottom for wicker baskets that add warmth and texture to the space. The hardware finish is polished chrome. The walls and ceiling are painted in Sherwin Williams Westhighland White 7566 for a light and airy vibe. The vanity wall showcases a shiplap wood detail. Above the vanity on either side of the round mirror are two, round glass chrome plated, wall sconces that add a classic feeling to the room. The alcove shower/cast iron tub combo includes a niche for shampoo. The shower walls have a white textured tile in a subway pattern with a light gray grout and an accent trim of multi-gray penny round mosaic tile which complements the gray and white color scheme.

Incredible transformation of an old ordinary little classic bathroom in an old but retained the spirit of the old Portland house. The ideas were to keep the vintage charm of the house but using modern materials and popular styles. The choice fell on Subway Tile with charcoal grout and a classic pattern on the floor.

This Wyoming master bath felt confined with an inefficient layout. Although the existing bathroom was a good size, an awkwardly placed dividing wall made it impossible for two people to be in it at the same time. Taking down the dividing wall made the room feel much more open and allowed warm, natural light to come in. To take advantage of all that sunshine, an elegant soaking tub was placed right by the window, along with a unique, black subway tile and quartz tub ledge. Adding contrast to the dark tile is a beautiful wood vanity with ultra-convenient drawer storage. Gold fi xtures bring warmth and luxury, and add a perfect fi nishing touch to this spa-like retreat.

This farmhouse style home was already lovely and inviting. We just added some finishing touches in the kitchen and expanded and enhanced the basement. In the kitchen we enlarged the center island so that it is now five-feet-wide. We rebuilt the sides, added the cross-back, “x”, design to each end and installed new fixtures. We also installed new counters and painted all the cabinetry. Already the center of the home’s everyday living and entertaining, there’s now even more space for gathering. We expanded the already finished basement to include a main room with kitchenet, a multi-purpose/guestroom with a murphy bed, full bathroom, and a home theatre. The COREtec vinyl flooring is waterproof and strong enough to take the beating of everyday use. In the main room, the ship lap walls and farmhouse lantern lighting coordinates beautifully with the vintage farmhouse tuxedo bathroom. Who needs to go out to the movies with a home theatre like this one? With tiered seating for six, featuring reclining chair on platforms, tray ceiling lighting and theatre sconces, this is the perfect spot for family movie night! This was a redo of a River House - Now a Lake House on Lake Medina. It was originally built in 1906 as weekend house on the Medina River. Later the river dammed and it became a weekend lake house. In keeping with the overall look of the house we tiled this shower in black and white subway tiles and tiled the entire walls of the bathroom. We installed frameless glass shower. It went from a 1906 old tub to this clean and inviting bath. It was a fun project
