The master bedroom and bathroom were completely redesigned to open up the space and allow for a spacious curbless shower with a linear drain and a freestanding handmade hammered copper, double-slipper clawfoot tub with a rolled rim (each tub is unique and the Patina is applied using a French hot process, so the color is ingrained in the copper). With purpose in mind, the master bathroom was also designed with a separate toilet room and plenty of built-in storage. Other modern amenities included two new tower cabinets with built-in shelving that were designed on either side of the his and hers sinks, as well as custom pull outs with in-drawer outlets.

We put in Florida tile in Pietra Art Light Travertine which the homeowners absolutely love. It’s now a joy for the wife to start her day in her stylish, bright and airy bathroom.

The angular theme of this first floor master bath begins with the split-face travertine focus wall and continues with the rectangular tub and sinks. To accentuate the organic feeling, we chose granite countertops and light bronze sconces that remind us of bundles of twigs.

This project combines high end earthy elements with elegant, modern furnishings. We wanted to re invent the beach house concept and create an home which is not your typical coastal retreat. By combining stronger colors and textures, we gave the spaces a bolder and more permanent feel. Yet, as you travel through each room, you can't help but feel invited and at home.

Set in amongst the Travertine, accents, granite and other design features is a deep soaking air massage tub from American Standard that is anything but standard. The "Deep Soak" drain and overflow allows for an incredibly relaxing soaking bath, with an extra deep water level. This particular model even features their "Everclean" anti-microbial system and also has a warmed air massage system that provides a soothing end to a troubled day. Mediterranean master bathroom remodel Custom Design & Construction Project Scope and Objectives: This design/build project encompassed a complete remodel of a large bathroom (approximately 140 sqft). Being a busy television director, the homeowner needed a comfortable space for her to use after a long day at work but also wanted a space that was as eclectic as her personality Project Challenges: The homeowner was interested in incorporating vintage and antique reclaimed pieces into the design. The biggest challenge faces was trying to integrate a hand carved reclaimed wood cabinetry and an ultra-modern sink with modern conveniences, while keeping with the Mediterranean style of the house. Project Solutions: Pebbled flooring and travertine wall tiling were installed along with the salvaged vanity pieces and modern vanity fixtures perfectly marrying the Mediterranean architecture of the house to the very eclectic taste of the client.
