The dark cave-like shower was transformed with a frameless Kohler wide sliding door and large gray matte porcelain tile. With accessibility in mind, the basement bathroom was designed with a large Alcove Delta shower kit, which also included a wide frameless shower door. A semi-custom maple vanity was stained in a pecan finish and topped with a Black Absolute granite. To maximize storage space, Riverside Construction incorporated expansive open shelving to the right of the shower, tastefully stained to complement the vanity. Completing the room’s aesthetic, reclaimed Oak Glue Down Vinyl Flooring was chosen, tying everything together beautifully.

With a simple change to this bathroom's layout, it gained in practicality and aesthetics. The toilet was moved toward the shower, and the vanity shifted closer to the door, creating the illusion of a larger footprint. The eye is drawn to the shower's white subway tile with black grout and decorative niche, framed by clear sliding glass doors. Contrasting light and dark colors, and the blended textures of tile and wood, create a sense of balance and warmth, making this fresh space a welcome place to begin or end your day.

This remodel also features LG Viatera Quartz countertop with Aria color and ¼ bevel edge. The bathroom floor is 16” x 16” Alterna Gistine Bisque and the tub tile wall is 24” x 24” Mediterranea Marmol Café honed. Other features include Sterling (By Kohler) tub in a biscuit color, Kohler ligh fixture in Oil rubbed bronze, Kohler shower trim in Oiul rubbed bronze, Kohler shower trim in Oil rubbed bronze and Kohler toilet in biscuit. The vanity hardware was from Amerock; both handles and knobs are in Satin Nickel.
