This compact condominium guest bathroom does dual duty as both a bath and laundry room (machines are concealed by a bi-fold door most of the time). In an effort to provide guests with a welcoming environment, considerable attention was made in the color palette and features selected. A petit sink provides counterspace for grooming and guest toiletry travel bags. Frequent visits by young grandchildren and the slender depth of the vanity precipitated the decision to place the faucet on the side of the sink rather than in the back. Multiple light sources in this windowless room provides adequate illumination for both grooming and cleaning. The tall storage cabinet has doors that are hinged in opposite directions. The bottom door is hinged on the right to provide easy access to laundry soap while the top door is left hinged to provide easy access to towels and toiletries. The tile shower and wainscoting give this bathroom a truly special look and feel.

The Sheridan is that special project that sparked the beginning of AYYA. Meeting with the home owners and having the opportunity to design those intimate spaces of their charming home in Uptown Chicago was a pleasure and privilege. The focus of this design story is respecting the architecture and the history of the building while creating a contemporary design that relates to their modern life. The spaces were completely transformed from what they were to become at their best potential. The Primary Bathroom was a nod to tradition with the black and white subway tiles, a custom walnut vanity, and mosaic floors. While the Guest Bathroom took a more modern approach, bringing more vertical texture and bold colors to create a statement that connects this room with the rest of the house.

The primary goal of this small bathroom remodel was to make the space more accessible, catering to the clients’ changing needs as they age in place. This included converting the bathtub to a walk-in shower with a low-threshold base, adding easy-to-reach shampoo shelves, and installing grab bars for safety. Additionally, the plan included adding counter space, creating more storage with cabinetry, and hiding the laundry chute hole, which was previously on the floor next to the sink.

The owner of this top floor bathroom was looking for a fresh black and white look without the imposing, long bath. He also wanted to make a feature out of the fireplace. The units on the left house the boiler and a washing machine but the storage inside was not useful. We stripped the room and rebuilt the storage to fit a washing machine, drier, access to the existing boiler and some practical storage that can be removed to access the boiler. The fabulous blue floor tiles brighten up the room and we painted the fireplace black to help it stand out in the corner.

This amazing Master Bathroom, was gutted. The space was substantial, but poorly arranged. There was a whirlpool tub where the large shower is now located. There was a tiny shower in the corner where the closet with the washer and dryer are now located. The toilet stayed in it's original location. The new owner is a single lady and requested more storage and a vanity for makeup. The new custom cabinets include a linen closet. The countertop is quartzite that looks like marble. Dans cet appartement sous les toits de Paris abandonné depuis les années 1900, la transformation est totale. Une page blanche pour écrire une histoire contemporaine pleine de charme. En premier lieu, le volume de l’appartement et des combles ont été réunis en supprimant le plancher. Un parquet en point de Hongrie redonne noblesse et chaleur au lieu. Une cuisine, un dressing, une bibliothèque aux façades épurées épousant la forme du toit offrent de grands rangements. Du mobilier chinés et une décoration colorés sublime l'ensemble. Le cocon d’une parisienne est né.

Beach style, yet unequivocally elegant the floors feature encaustic concrete tiles paired with elongated white subway tiles. Aged brass taper by Brodware is featured as is a freestanding black bath and fittings and a custom made timber vanity.

Mobile laccato bianco sospeso, piano in corian e lavabo in ceramica sotto-top. Rubinetteria a parete, sanitari sospesi della duravit. Box doccia in vetro trasparente extra-chiaro. Il soffitto è ribassato per alloggiare il soppalco dell'ingresso per letto ospiti. Una vetrata sopra alla porta permette l'ingresso della luce.
