Beach House Kitchen Renovation

Part one of a Beach House renovation on the northern NSW coast. The 1960's two story cream brick house had not been touched since it was built in the early 1970's. The kitchen was dark, extremely dated and in very poor almost unworkable condition. The client wanted to keep to a very tight budget as this was a second home, need extensive work and the cash had to be spread over many areas. They loved entertaining but the space was small and there wish list was long: open plan living, good storage, lots of preparation benches, eat in space for up to 10 person, keep it light, modern, open, with a easy relaxed beach feel. They loved if possible a hit of industrial style and last but not least a 90cm cooker, gas and electric. We managed to tick all those boxes, open the wall up from the living area, kept an existing internal spiral staircase add in a full length louvre glass window panel to look onto the extensive tropical garden and to allow great cross flow ventilation and light.
