Seen here is a closeup of the custom embroidered pillow, with the seal of the Society of the Cincinnati, a Revolutionary War organization founded by George Washington and the other Revolutionary War officers. The pillow used two fabrics and two trims to frame the embroidered seal. The trim colors repeat the colors of the oriental rug. The custom quilted bedspread is in a Thibaut fabric, and has a French flap, or reverse sham, to make it easy for any guest or staff member to make a beautiful bed. The headboard is a vintage bed from an antique store in Pennsylvania. Bob Narod, Photographer, LLC

The Designers for Hope Showcase, which was held on May 14-17, 2015, is a fundraising event to help support the program and mission of House of Hope. Local designers were chosen to transform a riverfront home in De Pere, with the help of DeLeers Construction. The home was then opened up to the public for the unique opportunity to view a distinctively new environment.

This large estate home incorporates an indoor basketball court, indoor pool, lower level bar and bowling alley. Careful interpretation of turn of the century British architecture and consideration for the equestrian character of the Saratoga region inspired the language used to organize this home’s exterior. The power and mass of stucco and stone are offset by gracefully sweeping rooflines and painted trim to create a balance of form intended to be impressive and yet welcoming. The compound includes the main residence, a 1,200 square foot guest residence, pond, outdoor pool and tennis court.
