Fun and functional family room where the family gets together after a long day and spend some quality time together!

This living room is family friendly but made contemporary with the stacked stone fireplace that runs from floor to ceiling. We fulfilled the clients request for an easily maintained. The built in cabinetry allows for clutter to be hidden from view and provides a display area for personal items and colorful accents. The following items were used in the interior design of this new construction project. Das Atriumhaus aus den 60er Jahren wurde durch unser Büro kernsaniert. Dabei wurde die Raumaufteilung nach den Wünschen der Bauherren modifiziert, und bietet heute Platz für ein Paar mit großzügigen Arbeitsbereichen, und eigenem Gästeappartement. This near century old Neoclassical colonial was fully restored including a family room addition, extensive alterations to the existing floorplan, new gourmet kitchen with informal dining with box beam ceiling, new master suite and much custom trim and detailed built ins.

The family room is open to the kitchen and needed to be inviting and comfortable for a family with kids and pets. The two focal points are the custom wall unit and the new fireplace surround.

This gorgeous, Chicago townhouse had so many mid century features, but needed an update in the kitchen, two full baths, and fireplace. Hyland Homes designed and remodeled by not only bringing in touches of mid century, but modern and elevated the style that would continue to be "in" for so many years to come!
