This kitchen is beautiful and inviting. The large kitchen island provides plenty of seating for guests and guest access to the beverage fridge. The The dark stained cabinets are offset nicely with the bright counters and glass backsplash. To tie it all together, a unique chandelier was added over the island.

If the heart of the home is the kitchen, this one is bursting with love. Waterfall edges help to frame this showstopping kitchen. White cabinetry keeps a clean and crisp feel. Floor to ceiling mosaic tile work gives this room a magical quality that is fun and friendly.

Bilotta Kitchen & Home
This kitchen was a collaboration between senior designer, Jeff Eakley, and Kenny Alpert of KA Designs. Although it features contemporary-styled high-gloss cabinetry and flat panel doors, the decorative lighting, tray ceiling, pocket door, furniture and other finishes give it a traditional twist. The cabinetry is Bilotta’s contemporary line, Artcraft – the perimeter features the Portofino door with its integrated handle in a high gloss white. The island by contrast is a warmer walnut veneer also in a high gloss finish. The appliances are Miele’s all white collection so they fit beautifully into the surrounding white cabinets. The limited hardware that was used on the appliances is in a polished chrome finish to match the plumbing fixtures, lighting above the island, and the base of the table for the banquette seating near the pocket door. The countertops are quartzite and the backsplash are a mosaic of marble and quartz tile. The island has seating for two, while the banquette in the corner seats four. The flooring is a dark hardwood. The original outdated kitchen was demolished, walls were torn down and kitchen was opened up. Though this is not a top of the line kitchen remodel its a good example of what can be done with a small budget for an outdated kitchen design.

An airy and light feeling inhabits this kitchen from the white walls to the white cabinets to the bamboo countertop and to the contemporary glass pendant lighting. Glass subway tile serves as the backsplash with an accent of organic leaf shaped glass tile over the cooktop. The island is a two part system that has one stationary piece closes to the window shown here and a movable piece running parallel to the dining room on the left. The movable piece may be moved around for different uses or a breakfast table can take its place instead. LED lighting is placed under the cabinets at the toe kick for a night light effect. White leather counter stools are housed under the island for convenient seating.

I worked with this client to design their luxury condo in the ocean front community of Ocean Creek Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. We chose a beachy, fresh feel with lots of blues, teals, and grays for that comfortable and relaxing coastal aesthetic the area is known for.
