We designed and built this custom grotto down by our clients creek that runs through their property. We ran electrical, gas, and water down 200 feet from the house and put in our own hydrant below frost. We then built a hidden, sunken boiler room behind the retaining wall to hold the boiler for both the custom stainless steel spa and the heated flagstone patio. The auto-fill and auto-chem as well as mechanical for the retractable cover are housed in the boiler room. Super cool!!

This is one of our most recent all inclusive hardscape and landscape projects completed for wonderful clients in Sandy Springs / North Atlanta, GA. Project consisted of completely stripping backyard and creating a clean pallet for new stone and boulder retaining walls, a firepit and stone masonry bench seating area, an amazing flagstone patio area which also included an outdoor stone kitchen and custom chimney along with a cedar pavilion. After Picture; Wall placement was critical because of the septic drainfield lines. The woodchip pathways were installed from both ends of yard and provided ground level access to raised garden peninsulas from above, while homeowners could stand at lower level and work in raised garden beds. Drip system was designed for beds and garden separate. The neat thing with the Allan Block is the tab is on top, so we can use it for a border "edge" and not require a cap. A cap was installed on the 2' high seat wall in curved section next to paver patio. The mixed pattern wall is Allan Block in Europa tumbled series shown in Rocky Mountain color blend.

Tiered Walls for Sloping Yard

Tiered walls made of natural moss rock stone to eliminate small, but difficult to maintain, slope in the front yard. Wall was set on a poured footing, built with cinder block, and faced with moss rock. Plantiings were chosen to blend with the existing landscape and handle sun/shade conditions. Area was converted to drip irrigation for the walls to better control volume of water to the planted areas vs. the sodded front yard area. Landscape lighting added to wall to enhance visual interest on the rock and the large Crape Myrtles anchoring both sides of the home

This client required a sloping ramp from driveway to front door for wheelchair access. We built the ramp with Permeable concrete pavers to alleviate run-off rushing down slope. The ramp is hidden from the street view by the wall be built which we later augmented with a boxwood hedge. We installed low voltage lighting in the wall at the driveway entrance. We designed the project with Google Sketch-up. Very successful!
