This was such a fun project working with these clients who wanted to take an old school, traditional lake house and update it. We moved the kitchen from the previous location to the breakfast area to create a more open space floor plan. We also added ship lap strategically to some feature walls and columns. The color palette we went with was navy, black, tan and cream. The decorative and central feature of the kitchen tile and family room rug really drove the direction of this project. With plenty of light once we moved the kitchen and white walls, we were able to go with dramatic black cabinets. The solid brass pulls added a little drama, but the light reclaimed open shelves and cross detail on the island kept it from getting too fussy and clean white Quartz countertops keep the kitchen from feeling too dark.
There previously wasn't a fireplace so added one for cozy winter lake days with a herringbone tile surround and reclaimed beam mantle.
To ensure this family friendly lake house can withstand the traffic, we added sunbrella slipcovers to all the upholstery in the family room.
The back screened porch overlooks the lake and dock and is ready for an abundance of extended family and friends to enjoy this beautiful updated and classic lake home.

This Cherry Hill, NJ kitchen was completely demolished and re-built to the homeowners' style and design. No detail was left out, as the design process captured the need for an entertaining space using the existing footprint.
Gorgeous dark cherry cabinets with the contrast of a white with some sparkle quartz countertop set the backdrop to the new kitchen island and wine bar area. Also incorporated are stainless steel appliances and a ceramic tile floor with stunning light fixtures. The result is a kitchen perfect for creating memories with family and friends
Paneled front Jenn-Air garbage compactor. The process of implementing the design involved a few, minimal structural changes to modify opening sizes and wall locations. The majority of the renovation, however, involved moving rooms to new locations. The kitchen moved to the former family room. The new, expanded kitchen includes ample work space and an island with seating for four. Range, range hood, built-in combination oven/ microwave and trash compactor are by Jenn-Air®. The French-door refrigerator is by Electrolux®. Quartz countertops are Bellingham™ by Cambria®. Custom birch cabinetry by Ayr Custom Cabinetry. These homeowners decided to turn their ski home into a full-time home only to find that what was perfect as a vacation home, didn't function well for year-round living. In the master bathroom an unused tub was removed to make room for a larger vanity with storage. Using the same large format tiles on the floor and the walls provide the desired spa-like feel to the space. Floor to ceiling cabinets provide loads of storage for this kosher kitchen. Two dishwashers, two utensil drawers, a divided sink and two ovens are also included so that meat and dairy could be kept separated.
