Here you can see the rain shadow over Palm Springs, California. The San Jacinto mountains peak at 10,834' which is too high for rain to make it to the arid desert valley below. These clouds have blown in from the Pacific Ocean. As the warm humid air rises, it cools and condenses causing clouds to drop their moisture at lower altitudes, on the other side of the mountain. None the less, snow melt from mountain tops surrounding the Coachella Valley recharge our large aquifer.

The owner of this home contacted us near the end of the year in 2017 to create a wall to match the one we had done in the spring. Naturally we were excited to continue our wall from one property to the next. This wall features split faced limestone walling stone with custom precast limestone caps and pillars. It also has automatic gates, integrated lighting and integrated electrical outlets. it will soon feature metal feature work and detailed plantings.

Cette villa a été construite en 2007 et la propriétaire est tombée sous le charme de ses grands volumes. L'intérieur et l'extérieur avaient besoin d'un gros rafraîchissement.

This home was situated on the lot to maximize the integration with the outside spaces. Clean and simple lines along with the monochromatic color scheme enhances the tranquility of the setting.
Quarry Mill
This stunning retaining wall and walk-out basement showcase the Quarry Mill's Cheyenne real granite cobblestone thin veneer. Cheyenne is a natural granite thin stone veneer in earthy browns and greys. The stone is cut from natural granite that is collected rather than quarried in the traditional sense. Cheyenne is a true fieldstone in that it is the top layer of the bedrock; the pieces broke off over time and worked their way through the topsoil. This process naturally stained the black and white stone to the brown and tan pieces we see today. To add variation, we split some of the pieces to show the interior colors. The split pieces technically fall into more of the mosaic style but as a whole Cheyenne is a cobblestone.
