This BBQ island was designed to showcase a few different materials. There are many options when deciding on what materials to use. On this one, we chose to use a stone veneer on the base that matches the stone veneer on the front of the house and the chimney. The back drop has a deco panel called Outdeco which is a hard wood material from Australia. The blue and gray tile on the pedestal is glass and comes from Spain; it matches the same tile on used on the spa.

Concrete pavers with small mexican pebbles. Mondo Grass and FX Luminaire pathway light. The front areas of this landscape in Bel Marin Keys, Novato, were transformed from a tired, water thirsty-lawn into a contemporary setting with dramatic concrete pavers leading to the home's entrance. A variety of low-water plants for sun and part shade complete this project front yard transformation. Installed in February 2014. More plant updates early 2015. Boyce Design + BuildBoyce Design + Build
This modern farmhouse is adorned with showstopping curb appeal thanks to the landscape designers at Boyce Design & Contracting. The brick walkway is lined with low shrubs and a lush green lawn that leads to an inviting covered porch and a set of vibrant green Pyramidal Boxwoods at each end of the walkway. By incorporating the perfect balance of soft neutral colors, textures, and plant groupings we transformed this front yard into a charming country-style garden

A private garden designed, with minimal maintenance in mind, for a newly converted flat in Ealing. It has a long taxus hedge to provide year-round interest viewable from the property as well as to act as a backdrop to a Prunus ‘Accolade’ when it is in flower and leaf. This cherry tree is positioned centrally opposite a cantilevered glass box extruding from the facade of the building.

No yard is too small for a pool. This “plunge pool,” is fed by a waterfall and is perfect for lounging, staying cool, and listening to the sounds of the woods to relax. A plunge pool is a small, shallow pool built for the purpose of lounging, wading, and cooling off instead of for swimming and exercising. Some homeowners prefer them because of their lower costs to build, smaller sizes, easier maintenance, and reduced water requirements. Photography by John Wiese
