Landscape Logic
Landscape Logic creates amazing designs and installations. Most or our projects include a shade structure, an outdoor kitchen, a firepit, sometimes a fireplace, pool and spa, artificial turf, plants, trees, outdoor lighting, and drip irrigation.
Cleator Landscape Design
This home was in need of a indoor outdoor entertaining space that would compliment the residents desire for clean lines and crisp architectural elements. By adding a lounging area with fire pit, water feature, outdoor kitchen and dinning spaces all atop modern pavers we were able to greatly increase the useable space while providing the polished look the client longed for.

Wood Burning Fire Pit Outdoor Lighting in the Backyard
Outside of the screened-in porch, a walking path leads to a sunken fire pit surrounded by boulders and log stumps for sitting.
Path lights mark the walking area to improve nighttime safety. "We have an uplight on the cottonwood tree in the distance and another one highlighting the woodwork on the screened-in porch," McKay Lighting designer says, "It provides just enough light to guide you around the backyard and adds to the ambiance as you use the outdoor space. You don't want too much competing light when the fire is going."
The walking path continues around the backyard to a gate in the pool area.

This “Arizona Inspired” home draws on some of the couples’ favorite desert inspirations. The architecture honors the Wrightian design of The Arizona Biltmore, the courtyard raised planter beds feature labeled specimen cactus in the style of the Desert Botanical Gardens, and the expansive backyard offers a resort-style pool and cabana with plenty of entertainment space. Additional focal areas of landscape design include an outdoor living room in the front courtyard with custom steel fire trough, a shallow negative-edge fountain, and a rare “nurse tree” that was salvaged from a nearby site, sits in the corner of the courtyard – a unique conversation starter. The wash that runs on either side of the museum-glass hallway is filled with aloes, agaves and cactus. On the far end of the lot, a fire pit surrounded by desert planting offers stunning views both day and night of the Praying Monk rock formation on Camelback Mountain.

Detail of the concrete plinth. I created an angle to the plinth to suggest entry to the hot tub level below and keep it feeling more open. I have found the angles in walls and gardens really matters to be of correct scale. The concrete plinth is for a bench, buffet overflow from BBQ counter or here with planters it acts as a screen to the area below.

For this project, the beige Travertina slabs, the beige Graphix retaining wall system, the faux-wood Borealis collection (BBQ island and the pool borders) were used in this backyard to create a full entertainment living space. It includes a fire pit, a seating area, plus a dipping pool that falls into a full-size pool. Other outdoor elements, like water fountains and additional fire pits, were installed around the pool for a wow effect. These landscape stones blend perfectly well with nature's elements.
