A new fascia wall in front of the existing windows is built, housing the authentic 1920 portholes, salvaged from a ship. The windows preclude the unsightly outside street view while permitting light to stream through. It also evokes a sense of mystery as to suggest perhaps some unknown reality lying beyond. The gears faucet is unique and mirrors the industrial and streamline metaphors of the time. In addition, a brass rail is used as a curtain rod, with Greek key gimp used as ties to hold the curtains up above the top of the windows.

Welcome to our expansive transitional open concept kitchen, where style and functionality harmoniously converge. The white push-to-open cabinets exude a transitional esthetic, perfectly complementing the stainless-steel appliances. A stunning floor-to-ceiling backsplash adds a touch of elegance, accentuated by the open-faced range hood. The Renowned Group
The owners selected Theory™ by Emser, a glazed porcelain series inspired by the look of distressed wood for their floors, MSI Stone's Morning Fog Subway for the kitchen backsplash, Calacatta Gold, also by MSI Stone, for the face of the fireplace and Blanca Statuarietto Quartz for the new Countertops. The project was finished early and under-budget. It's time for the owner to sit back and relax knowing we are managing every step of the way. Demolition, Haul-Off, Ordering. The ocean view from this lovely condo was the inspiration for the colors and textures chosen in this project. Beachy blues, sandy tones, beach glass, and driftwood make up the materials. The glass wave backsplash with live edge in the kitchen is a favorite feature. Wood plank style tile on the fireplace keeps the space clean and light. We kept this small space open and airy allowing the finishes and materials to compliment the ocean view rather than compete. This beach retreat was transformed into a cozy, stylish, and inviting space to relax and enjoy the beauty of Pajaro Dunes, California.
This live edge glass tile backsplash was the perfect transition from under the cabinet to the edge of the counter.
Hunt's Kitchen Design
Painted white, knotty alder distressed kitchen cabinets with a dark stained wood island for contrast. The counter tops are a group 5 granite to get a more unique pattern and the backsplash is a dark glass custom sheet. The floors are travertine that flows from indoor to the custom outdoor bar out back. The pantry door is a barn door that is stain matched to blend with the island. Beautiful "Traditional" kitchen design. Enjoy!
