Land & Water DesignThe water feature is 24” deep 500 s.f. and filled with 6” of Black Mexican beach pebbles. Multiple Techobloc Raffinato planters each equipped with drip irrigation. Plantings were installed by our client. Six sheer descent waterfalls and multi-colored underwater lights are controlled from the clients mobile phone or iPad.
All the paving is a Turkish Travertine with a connecting floating bridge that leads to a more private sunken patio/pavilion area, where one can sit and enjoy the tranquil sound of sheer descent waterfalls. The addition of the contemporary sculpture and a bubbling granite boulder completes this backyard transformation!

Tom Kuniholm Architects, AIA This is a state of the art lakefront house, bridging formal to informal. The mandate was to work from a European precedent, use natural materials, stone, mahogany, and slate to create a feel of authenticity. The result brings together stunning water views, informal family entertaining, very dressy formal rooms, leading to generous outdoor entertaining spaces beyond. It is a twenty-first century house on a grand scale, with a courtyard and carriage house, built to accommodate a large function, or be comfortable for relaxed family living.
Kit à planterLes clients avaient déjà des massifs de plantes qui n'étaient plus vigoureuses. Après diagnostic, nous avons donc établi une palette de végétaux et un plan de plantation adapté à l'exposition de la terrasse, tout en conservant les gros sujets.
Les clients souhaitez des plantes proposées dans deux packages ( le paresseux et le romantique) et le plan d'eau du package aquatique.
Nous avons donc mélangé les 3 packages.
Après validation du projet nous avons sélectionné les plantes en pépinière et livré sur le toit terrasse les plantes, les amendements pour la terre déjà présente et les matériaux.
Les clients se sont occupés de la plantation, il ont eu recours à une journée de coaching avec DIY Garden pour planter et installé le plan d'eau dans les règles de l'art.

OLSON LEWIS + ArchitectsPublished in the NORTHSHORE HOME MAGAZINE Fall 2015 issue, this home was dubbed 'Manchester Marvel'.
Before its renovation, the home consisted of a street front cottage built in the 1820’s, with a wing added onto the back at a later point. The home owners required a family friendly space to accommodate a large extended family, but they also wished to retain the original character of the home.
The design solution was to turn the rectangular footprint into an L shape. The kitchen and the formal entertaining rooms run along the vertical wing of the home. Within the central hub of the home is a large family room that opens to the kitchen and the back of the patio. Located in the horizontal plane are the solarium, mudroom and garage.
