Our clients wanted to refresh a dated dining room. The before boasted rust colored grasscloth, plantation shutters and brown/rust/olive color scheme. We wanted to give this space new life by adding white walls, millwork and some bright, fresh furnishings.

We moved away from our usual light, airy aesthetic toward the dark and dramatic in this formal living and dining space located in a spacious home in Vancouver's affluent West Side neighborhood. Deep navy blue, gold and dark warm woods make for a rich scheme that perfectly suits this well appointed home. Interior Design by Lori Steeves of Simply Home Decorating. A sweet newly married couple just moved into their Charleston home with standard builder features in their dining room, like beige walls and oil rubbed light fixtures. With a little paint - Benjamin Moore’s Hale Navy - and some pretty gold home accessories, this formal dining room was well on its way to fabulous! We included Ballard Design gold pendants, Serena & Lily zig cotton dhurrie rug, Restoration Hardware pedestal dining table and chairs, Home Goods lamps and vases and coastal artwork framed in gold.

Eminent Interior Design
A growing young family with two daughters, this couple hired Brandi to complete their home’s interior decor. She loved working with these fantastic clients – they eagerly embraced a playful use of color and bold design choices! Finished in a colorful traditional style, this home is full of timeless architecture mixed with modern details. From a navy and bright orange office to a green floral dining room, each room on the main floor makes a unique statement but flows together through similar artwork and rugs. Upstairs, the master bedroom is a serene sanctuary. Brandi added wood beams, handmade wall coverings, and an extra custom-built closet. The two girls’ bedrooms are all about fun trends, personalized touches, and plenty of storage for their many prized possessions.

This whimsical dining room comes to life with a silver and cream chinoiserie pattern set against a quite lavender hue. Blush colored cherry blossoms add a hint of pink and allude to Washington DC's iconic trees. Accenting jewel-toned birds, butterflies and a snowing owl add to the room's charm in a timeless flora and fauna panorama. Trellis marquetry was painted into the paneling to tie the existing molding into the above design.
