Contemporary townhouse wildlife garden, with meandering gravel paths through dynamic herbaceous planting with corten water features.

Our client contacted us wanting to create a relatively maintenance free yard that focuses on relaxing family time spent in the sun as opposed to yard work. We designed and built the project utilizing synthetic grass, aggregate bedding and wonderful paving stone patio with a large cedar privacy pergola as the main focal point. Lighting & concrete edging along with step stones finished off this stunning project!!

BALI Award Winning Garden 2014. Designed by Mark Draper and built by the Graduate Gardeners Team. This expansive site required a lot of excavation work and detailed stone walling.

Backyard walkway was made out of marble and granite pieces, all plants are drought tolerant

This east facing side patio provides a welcome break from the summer heat. Previously this area was a hot-mess of uneven pavers, rotting landscape timbers, bindweed, cheatgrass, and no outdoor lighting on the pathway. Now it is much safer with the fire-resistant stone closest to the perimeter of the home.

Featuring an elegant wood decking paired with a contemporary stainless steel cable rail system. Natural stone raised garden beds infuse an organic essence, harmoniously contrasting the refined blue stone patio. Anchoring the design is a chic metal roof pavilion, lending both shade and style.

After digging in a dry creek to handle seasonal runoff, and planting with Sedges & California Native Plants.

Land2c Photo Exterior of chicken run and pots for herbs on new, graceful stairs. The old chicken coop and run was demolished and a new, custom coop and run were tucked under the deck. and stairs. Star Jasmine isplanted around the run-- not harmful to chickens. As it grows it will blend the run into the garden and create more shady areas for the chickens. Human access to the run is concealed as one of the frame squares. The frame will be painted to match the house trim color. Dark vinyl coated chicken wire was used to be less visually noticeable. The stair pots provide room for herbs to grow.
