We transformed this unusable sloping side yard into a casual and modern outdoor living space. Complete with modern privacy fencing, fire bowl and an outdoor shower.
Native Edge Landscape
This duplex has a very modern aesthetic with focuses on clean lines and metal accents. However, the front courtyard was undeveloped and uninviting. We worked with the client to tie the courtyard and the property together by adding clean, monochromatic details with a heavy focus on texture.
The main goal of this project was to add a low-maintenance outdoor living space that was an extension of the home. The small space and harsh sun exposure limited the plant pallet, but we were able to use lush plant material to maximize the space. A monochromatic pallet makes for a perfect backdrop for focal points and key pieces. The circular fire-pit was used to break up the 90 degree angles of the space, and also played off the round pottery.
Smalls Landscaping
The owners wanted to create a backyard entertainment area for family and friends. Privacy, pool, outdoor kitchen, water features, fire pit, fishing, multiple seating areas and lush, colorful landscape areas were all very important. Crafting this design combined the needs and personal style of the client along with functionality in an aesthetically pleasing space.

Our rustic Beer Garden set in the Lower Blue Mountains is designed to bring family and friends together. With Cast Iron Fire Pits to warm you in the cooler months and a Vine Covered Mesh Roof to shade you in the warmer months, this unique and functional space can be enjoyed all year round. The one of a kind Repurposed Glass Bottle Lights, Recycled Brick Walls, Tree Log Fencing, Sandstone Logs and bespoke Timber Furniture create a relaxed and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The placement and flow of each area and plentiful seating within the Beer Garden, makes the perfect setting to entertain or simply savour relaxing outdoors.
The Hardwood Timber sourced for the Arbours are over 40 years old and were handpicked for the Project. Our plant selection softens the Sandstone, Recycled Bricks and Concrete Gravel and reinforces the fusion of a traditional English Beer Garden and the serenity of the Blue Mountains surrounds.
