A barn door was the perfect solution for this bathroom entry. There wasn't enough depth for a traditional swinging one and there is a large TV mounted on the wall in the bathroom, so a pocket door wouldn't work either. Had to choose the 3 panel frosted glass to relate to the window configuration- obvi!

The original claw-foot bathtub was refinished and painted and put back in it's original location in a Kids Bathroom. The vanity, storage cabinet, and floating shelves were custom designed using salvaged beams from the excavated basement and offer a rustic quality. Painted cement floor tiles also keep this bathroom from feeling too serious.

The right combination of materials, colors ans textures are what define the success of any space. Gregg McLain, head designer at Black Rock Granite and Cabinetry, imagined the perfect pairing of sleek glass and refined porcelain tile.

The rustic double vanity was an antique found by the homeowners and is a great contrast to the modern surfaces. In wall gold faucets against the carrera marble counter set an elegant tone.

The floating shelf created from diamond mitrered Concrete effect tiles amd cut through floor to ceiling glass detail, giving the illusion of a seperate space in the room. Soft calming colours and textures to create a room for relaxing and oppulent sancturay. Lutron dimmable mood lighting all controlled by Crestron which has been installed in this stunning projects interior.

Finishes and fixtures in all bathrooms were replaced to complement the new contemporary mountain chalet.

White marble vanity top and gray stained wood vanity cabinet provide contrasting and complementary textures. Classic contemporary styling and attention to detail make this double duty bathroom a sophisticated but functional space for the family's two young children as well as guests. Removing a wall and expanding into a closet allowed the additional space needed for a double vanity and generous room in front of the combined tub/shower.
