Western Marble Granite & Tile Ltd.2016 Fall Parade of Homes
This lovely home is located at 33 East Plains in Sage Creek and was built by Hearth Homes, stone work in the kitchen, ensuite bathroom and wet bar was done by Western Marble & Tile Ltd.
Interior Trends Inc. Design & RemodelingAn unused closet was turned into a wet bar. Reclaimed wood shelves are suspended by industrial rods from the ceiling.
The backsplash of the bar is covered in a paper brick veneer product usually used for set design. A distressed faux paint technique was applied over the embossed brick surface to make it look like a real worn brick wall.

Synergy Design & ConstructionArchitectural details such as columns, bulkheads, arches and tray ceilings disguise the inner workings of the basement ceiling, while adding interest and giving the rec room an "upstairs" feel.
Randy TrainorThis three-story vacation home for a family of ski enthusiasts features 5 bedrooms and a six-bed bunk room, 5 1/2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, great room, 2 wet bars, great room, exercise room, basement game room, office, mud room, ski work room, decks, stone patio with sunken hot tub, garage, and elevator.
The home sits into an extremely steep, half-acre lot that shares a property line with a ski resort and allows for ski-in, ski-out access to the mountain’s 61 trails. This unique location and challenging terrain informed the home’s siting, footprint, program, design, interior design, finishes, and custom made furniture.

By DesignThis dining room wet bar is flanked by stainless steal wine columns. Crisp white lift up cabinets proved ample storage for glass ware either side of the flyover top treatment with LED lighting to add drama to decorative items. The graphic dimensional back splash tile adds texture and drama to the wall mounted faucet and under mount sink. Charcoal honed granite counters adds drama to the space while the rough hewn European oak cabinetry provides texture and warmth to the design scheme.
Jacobson Construction, Inc.The basement in this home sat unused for years. Cinder block windows did a poor job of brightening the space. Linoleum floors were outdated years ago. The bar was a brick and mortar monster.
The remodeling design began with a new centerpiece – a gas fireplace to warm up cold Minnesota evenings. It features custom brickwork enclosing the energy efficient firebox.
New energy-efficient egress windows can be opened to allow cross ventilation, while keeping the room cozy. A dramatic improvement over cinder block glass.
A new wet bar was added, featuring Oak Wood cabinets and Granite countertops. Note the custom tile work behind the stainless steel sink. The bar itself uses the same materials, creating comfortable seating for three.
Finally, the use of in-ceiling down lights adds a single “color” of light, making the entire room both bright and warm. The before and after photos tell the whole story.
Rylex Custom Cabinetry and ClosetsFor a lakeside retreat, the bar’s lower level location is an integral part of outdoor entertaining. Custom cabinetry and floating shelves provide storage for everything necessary to make entertaining stress free.
