Small spaces can provide big challenges. These homeowners wanted to include a lot in their tiny backyard! There were also numerous city restrictions to comply with, and elevations to contend with. The design includes several seating areas, a fire feature that can be seen from the home's front entry, a water wall, and retractable screens.
This was a "design only" project. Installation was coordinated by the homeowner and completed by others.

The custom designed and built bench protects the aesthetic calm of the front garden patio. It provides an excellent view of the neighborhood as well as the hummingbirds drawn by pink Alumroot bells, the sweet fragrance and magic wand-like blooms of Hummingbird Sage blooms, as well as the water feature.

For over 50 years Swan Pools has been creating living environments, with custom swimming pool designs as their centerpieces. As a swimming pool contractor, we work to understand our customers’ hopes and dreams, needs and passions. Then we design and build practical, elegant spaces that enhance their worlds.
Moss Boss Studios
This garden is all about creating a fun, safe environment for kids to learn and play. Log steppers and boulders of varying heights encourage the young ones to test their balance, while mini railway sleepers provide a place to rest and chat.
Landscape Logic
These are decorative metal privacy panels placed on the side yard. We planted Podocarpus between for fillets and star jasmine vine to climb on them. Of course we put lights behind them to create a silhouette effect.

This outdoor patio space has it all. Built in BBQ and Pizza Oven. Gorgeous waterfalls flow into black Mexican pebbles and are surrounded by lush low maintenance landscaping.
Urban Oasis Landscape Design
The custom concrete bench was designed to nestle into the hillside in a separate patio space paved with decomposed granite. It is strategically placed to take in the beautiful canyon vista.
