Craftsman Renovation

The kitchen was originally 3 small rooms - a breakfast nook, the main kitchen and the back porch which held the washer/dryer. We opened it up into one large, open space by taking the walls down, switching the stove and refrigerator and moving the water heater to the attic, creating room for a pantry and a better work triangle . The stove was replaced with a restored mid-50's Chambers range and stainless backsplash, a marble bistro table replaced the nook table and the washer/dryer were brought inside behind bi-fold doors. The cabinets were all replaced by custom solid birch and glass. The counter was replaced with a 12 foot slab of Maple butcher-block and the sink is a stainless double-bowl type. New tile floors were installed over fresh plywood with handmade blue/green Mexican diamond insets offset on every third junction. Backsplash is all 12" slate. All new copper plumbing and wiring.
