A full storage island wouldn't work in this Hinsdale, Illinois master closet, so the creative professionals at Chicagoland Home Products found the answer ina storage peninsula that was just the right size for this custom project. For those who long for custom storage, gaze on these photos and behold ample space to stow socks, keep under garments and organize jewelry. Shelves and drawers galore help provide a home for everything. When our client dreamed about special features in the custom closet, a place for staging items and folding clothing came to mind. We made that dream come true by incorporating a large countertop onto the peninsula. This was all tied together in a white melamine finish, but you could use any color that works best for you. It was just about complete except for one troublesome area just below the window. The small area of unused space was transformed with the addition of the handy bench which can be used for a variety of things — including sitting and looking out the window.

Building a shoe collection in a designated sneaker room is pretty cool! There’s lots of fun to be had when designing a project like this, and when we worked with Mo Gilligan on this project we knew it was going to look incredible. Mo is a lover of sneakers, his collection is getting bigger by the day and decided it was now the time to turn a spare room into a sneaker room where he could admire and appreciate his collection. We worked with Lucy Mansey an Award Winning Professional Home Organiser in the space to create something very special. The room was built around a boutique display where floor-to-ceiling cabinetry filled all corners and LED strip lighting was recessed into all of the shelves to highlight each and every sneaker on show. Extra storage was introduced at the beginning of the room where a deep drawer cabinet can be seen that includes slanted shoe storage inside and finished with a matte black handle.

Our clients were living with outdated, dark bathrooms in their newly purchased Falling Star home. The dull palette of warm neutrals did not reflect the couple’s East Coast traditional style. They noticed several renovation projects by JRP in the neighborhood. The professionalism and the process impressed them. After receiving a Pardon Our Dust courtesy letter from JRP, the couple decided to call for a consultation. Their wish list was clear. They wanted the Falling Star design to be light, airy, and white. It had to reflect their East Coast roots. Working with the original footprint, JRP completely transformed the space, creating a tranquil primary suite rich with traditional detail. The result is an effusive celebration of classic style. Now, the radiant rooms glow. To enlarge the primary closet, the JRP team removed a cluttered storage area. Inside, a separate dressing space is finished with upgraded storage and refined built-in cabinetry with recessed panels. Pops of glam such as Robert Abbey glass chandeliers and brilliant bits of chrome are moored by traditional elements like crown molding, porcelain tiles, and a quartz-clad drop-in soaking tub. Large windows in the primary bath and funnel skylights in the closet harness the natural light to stunning effect, sweeping the rooms with the cool feeling of fresh air. The “Sail Cloth” white paint adds soft depth to the uncomplicated elegance of both rooms.
