StarMark CabinetryThis kitchen was created with StarMark Cabinetry's Fairhaven inset door style in Cherry finished in a cabinet color called Toffee. The island was created with StarMark Cabinetry's Fairhaven inset door style in Cherry finished in Chestnut. The drawers in this kitchen have optional five-piece drawer headers. Glass front doors were created with glass in the Koko Seedy pattern. Additional accents include faux metal inserts in a color called Ragged Copper, and optional furniture pegs on doors and drawer headers.
Synergy Design & ConstructionThe kitchen footprint is rather large, allowing for extensive cabinetry, a center island in addition to the peninsula, and double ovens.
Design Studio WestThe homeowners’ desire for a contemporary, but welcoming, kitchen guided material and finish choices. Not wanting to part with their beautiful existing South American Am odium floor, the designer located more material to weave almost seamlessly in with the old.
H. Miller BrosSet within an airy contemporary extension to a lovely Georgian home, the Siatama Kitchen is our most ambitious project to date. The client, a master cook who taught English in Siatama, Japan, wanted a space that spliced together her love of Japanese detailing with a sophisticated Scandinavian approach to wood.
At the centre of the deisgn is a large island, made in solid british elm, and topped with a set of lined drawers for utensils, cutlery and chefs knifes. The 4-post legs of the island conform to the 寸 (pronounced ‘sun’), an ancient Japanese measurement equal to 3cm. An undulating chevron detail articulates the lower drawers in the island, and an open-framed end, with wood worktop, provides a space for casual dining and homework.
A full height pantry, with sliding doors with diagonally-wired glass, and an integrated american-style fridge freezer, give acres of storage space and allow for clutter to be shut away. A plant shelf above the pantry brings the space to life, making the most of the high ceilings and light in this lovely room.
KSI Kitchen & BathWe envisioned a modern design with warm wood tones and lots of texture and movement. We selected Dura Supreme Bria cabinetry in the Carson door style, achieving a warm feel with quartersawn oak in Heather finish. Our goal in this kitchen was to be creative with storage and not just fill the space with cabinets. By designing hidden work areas like the coffee bar and smoothie prep station on the fridge wall, we were able to create a beautiful aesthetic that also brought added function to the space.

Tate EnterprisesThis kitchen remodel was for two empty nesters. Their townhouse had a small working space in the kitchen with a little breakfast nook that served more as a drop zone and storage area than functional kitchen space. We completely reconfigures the spaced by moving the sink and range to the long wall adding a beverage center and drop zone as you enter through the garage and a small island for prep and conversation. The finishes include maple stained cabinet, as they didn’t want a white kitchen, with a dark blue island . They love traveling and collecting momentous from their favorite destinations. The Italian hand blown glass pendant over the sink tied the space together and made it feel special to their style. Overall, the flow is much more functional and offers ample counter space. They love working at the island when making cookies with their grandson.
Normandy RemodelingNatural walnut cabinetry, quartzite stone countertops and backsplash and a large picture window all make this mid-century modern kitchen a celebration of nature.
Schloegel Design RemodelA balance of warm woods, tones of black, and crisp whites create the perfect blend. The perimeter cabinets are maple with a space stain while the island is painted Sherwin Williams Iron Ore. The island is topped with Cambria Ironsbridge quartz while the perimeters are Silestone Mythology in Miami White17. Matte black appliances and hardware finish the look. The design lends itself to a transitional look that'll be beautiful and timeless.
Green Bay RemodelingFarm house sink, Wooden cabinets and hardwood flooring. Mixing Contemporary design with rustic finishes, this galley kitchen gives off a modern feel while still maintaining a Western décor.
Lasley Brahaney Architecture + ConstructionWe designed an addition to the house to include the new kitchen, expanded mudroom and relocated laundry room. The kitchen features an abundance of countertop and island space, island seating, a farmhouse sink, custom walnut cabinetry and floating shelves, a breakfast nook with built-in bench seating and porcelain tile flooring.
ALTER Design StudioKeeping the basic layout of the original kitchen, we completed a full upgrade on the appliances, cabinetry and fixtures, creating a clean and modern feel, maintaining warmth.
MARGARITA BRAVOThis was a fascinating project for incredible clients. To optimize costs and timelines, our Montecito studio took the existing Craftsman style of the kitchen and transformed it into a more contemporary one. We reused the perimeter cabinets, repainted for a fresh look, and added new walnut cabinets for the island and the appliances wall. The solitary pendant for the kitchen island was the focal point of our design, leaving our clients with a beautiful and everlasting kitchen remodel.

Wende Woodworking LLCIntegrated fridge/freezer Subzero units with bi-pass swinging door into walk in pantry.
Ridgecrest DesignsSituated at the top of the Eugene O'Neill National Historic Park in Danville, this mid-century modern hilltop home had great architectural features, but needed a kitchen update that spoke to the design style of the rest of the house. We would have to say this project was one of our most challenging when it came to blending the mid-century style of the house with a more eclectic and modern look that the clients were drawn to. But who doesn't love a good challenge? We removed the builder-grade cabinetry put in by a previous owner and took down a wall to open up the kitchen to the rest of the great room. The kitchen features a custom designed hood as well as custom cabinetry with an intricate beaded details that sets it apart from all of our other cabinetry designs. The pop of blue paired with the dark walnut creates an eye catching contrast. Ridgecrest also designed and fabricated solid steel wall cabinetry to store countertop appliances and display dishes and glasses. The copper accents on the range and faucets bring the design full circle and finish this gorgeous one-of-a-kind-kitchen off nicely.
ODS ArchitectureLooking from the kitchen to the living room, floor to ceiling windows connect the house to the surrounding landscape. The board-formed concrete wall and stained oak emphasize natural materials and the house's connection to it's site.
