This Paradise Valley stunner was a down-to-the-studs renovation. The owner, a successful business woman and owner of Bungalow Scottsdale -- a fabulous furnishings store, had a very clear vision. DW's mission was to re-imagine the 1970's solid block home into a modern and open place for a family of three. The house initially was very compartmentalized including lots of small rooms and too many doors to count. With a mantra of simplify, simplify, simplify, Architect CP Drewett began to look for the hidden order to craft a space that lived well.
This residence is a Moroccan world of white topped with classic Morrish patterning and finished with the owner's fabulous taste. The kitchen was established as the home's center to facilitate the owner's heart and swagger for entertaining. The public spaces were reimagined with a focus on hospitality. Practicing great restraint with the architecture set the stage for the owner to showcase objects in space. Her fantastic collection includes a glass-top faux elephant tusk table from the set of the infamous 80's television series, Dallas.
It was a joy to create, collaborate, and now celebrate this amazing home.

This eclectic design features graphite stained cabinets with a granite countertop and two undermounted, white sinks paired with oil rubbed bronze fixtures. The shower is tiled in a beautiful stone with multicolored pebble rock flooring, the top of the two benches are granite, the same as the countertop. The fixtures in the shower are oil rubbed bronzed too. The small wall for the tub fixture is tiled in the same stone tile as the shower walls, with oil rubbed bronze fixtures as well. To tie the whole bathroom together is the concrete styled flooring.

A large walk-in tile steamer/shower is a vast improvement from the confined fiberglass unit and obtrusive linen closet.
The wall caps and bench seat, which matches the counter top, allows the client to relax and enjoy the steam comfortably with ample room. A Panasonic inline exhaust fan with (2) vent outputs remove the additional steam efficiently and quietly. 12” Travertine tile covers the shower walls and bath floor. Field pebble stone adds texture to the shower ceiling custom shampoo niches and floor. The arched ceiling prevents water from dripping and a pivoting transom glass side panel allows the steam to escape. A Brizo showerhead, hand held shower, and transfer valves in a venetian bronze finish. The 3/8” glass in-line panels provides for an open, bright space allowing natural light in.

This front guest bathroom showcases beautiful tile design using stripes of gray and white to achieve a modern touch in this traditional space. The travertine floors add a sense of warmth and the wall color is soothing.
Perceptions Interiors
When tasked with restoring the master bathroom of this 1909 row house Andrea Mason and the team at Perceptions set out to transform the utilitarian space into a romantic retreat. Keeping the original footprint we replaced the outdated tile with white marble, framed the shower in glass, added built-it storage, a chandelier, and retreated the original claw-foot tub with a navy blue exterior. The end result, a relaxing retreat with modern amenities and a classic romantic feel.

This master bath remodel included all new cabinetry by Woodmode, sliding custom glass pocket doors into both a master walk in closet on one end and a private spa area with enclosed toilet room, full sized Jacuzzi and shower on the other end. A barrel shaped ceiling in the room combined cove ambient lighting with pendant light fixtures fabricated from mother of peal.

This is a very zen-like space, with lots of luxury yet very serene. The Windows let in lots of light with views all around; no need for privacy on a mountain-top! The floors are large limestone tiles with underfloor heating. A watery wall color and very paired down palette do help to create the tranquility of the space. Very restful indeed.

Slate tiles in warm brown, gold and coppery red tones cover the walls in a small guest shower. A glass mosaic feature strip in similar colors breaks up the diagonal pattern of the field tile. Satin nickel shower fittings complete the look.
