Pacific Beach Townhouse with a trendy tasteful owner. Working on this scheme was a delight as the owner had excellent taste. A connoisseur of quality we hunted down the very best Neolith Countertop to make sure it was tenant proof for the future. The bathroom has subway tiles and delicate carrara marble countertop, contrasted with a modern black faucet and fixtures. Brass cabinet knobs and wall scones. The large circle wall mirror ties in brass and black accents, with just a pop of vintage brown leather detailing. The large dark gray tile floors mimic a modern and open loft space. A whole house refurbishment to a property that had been neglected for far too long. Every floor was gutted back to the structural timber and brick wall to maximise the light and space available. The polished concrete on ground floor allows for a continuous and homogeneous space. Light bounces off its surface through out the whole space. As always we worked closely with our clients to create an environment reflecting their personalities with colour, textures and pattern.

You can see how narrow the bathroom is by noting the towels hanging on the left wall. To keep the space as open as possible, clear glass was used all around the shower. The "curve" allows for a slightly wider space at the end where the fixed shower head is located, while the entry and bench end stays a bit narrower. Using a low curb and running the same floor tile into the shower create an illusion of a wider space. The original design called for a true curved glass, but angling a few narrow panels gave the same effect while being more economical. The private water closet is at the far end of room opposite the shower, A pocket door was used to maximize space and a matching cabinet above the toilet provides more storage. Karin Lechner

These young hip professional clients love to travel and wanted a home where they could showcase the items that they've collected abroad. Their fun and vibrant personalities are expressed in every inch of the space, which was personalized down to the smallest details. Just like they are up for adventure in life, they were up for for adventure in the design and the outcome was truly one-of-kind. Photos by Chipper Hatter

Charming and pink - powder baths are a great place to add a spark of unexpected character. Our design for this tiny Berlin Altbau powder bathroom was inspired from the pink glass border in its vintage window. It includes Kristy Kropat Design “Blooming Dots” wallpaper in the “emerald rose” custom color-way.
